We all have the right to express our own oppinions, and you should not be triggered about that.

If china economy collapse than it is game over for huawei.
All top 3 players are backed up by their government, for good or the worst.

This is the end of their partnership. But since BlackBerry has gone their own way now, perhaps that BlackBerry might gone back to smartphone world after this? I so miss BB10, so much better than Android.

Zuzuz, 03 Feb 2020You talk about Apple? Big daddy cover their back?Who is Apple's daddy?

Too bad, the Blackberry Passport is one my all time favorite smartphone. Until now, I can't find any smartphone better for web browsing. The keyboard gestures + shortcuts functionalities were just amazing and made web browsing so much faster and a better experience overall. They couldn't do the same with their android devices, and this was a big con for me.

Make sure to remind us when it gets a bit closer to Aug 2020. Thanks

Blackberry of old could have maintained a presence as a corporate device specialist if they focused on the O.S, core hardware and got the price right, same for windows phone but that didn't seem to be the strategy either company wanted to take

toukale, 03 Feb 2020Google an Apple controls their destiny, that's not the case... moreWell don't expect the current giant to be any more safe than the others.

All it takes is a severe scandal on discovered misuse or leakage of all the personal data they are stealing erhm 'collecting', and a little legislation on decent privacy following that will have their whole business model fall down as a house of cards... And this will make room for new players...

toukale, 03 Feb 2020Google an Apple controls their destiny, that's not the case... moreWell i agree, but let's s imagine huawei releases their own os. There is no doubt that almost all developers will jump in to the new eco sistem with hundreds of millions of users. And if other oems like hiaomi, oppo, vivo and their sub brands leave android and build their own os than google will suffer big time imo.
Some things are changing so fast. I was a big sony ericsson fan for life, now huawei is my first choice, but after the ban i dont thing i will buy another huawei phone.

                                  AnonD-874772, 03 Feb 2020RIP blackberry.RIP RIM

But apart from the joke it is not really correct as it is BB mobile and not BB that are dying.

Berserker, 03 Feb 2020Remember guys, bb, sony, nokia, siemens, Motorola, all of t... moreGoogle an Apple controls their destiny, that's not the case for all the others you listed. Developer support is what kills those other guys chances. Developers did not want to develop and support more than two phone os. Apple have/enjoy the most developer loyalty when it comes to software development. A big part of course have to do with the spending a large portion of their users spend. The developers will always migrate to where the money is and right now that's Apple and I don't see that change anytime soon.

Remember guys, bb, sony, nokia, siemens, Motorola, all of them were the giants once,
Huawei was the last choice for many consumers. Look at them now. No. 2
I see to many ignorant fellas enjoing the failure of others and at the same time prasing their beloved oem like a god.
Nothing Lasts forever, and there is always the possibility for apple, samsung, google, facebook, yt and many more to reach the end days.

A shame. Blackberry dug their own grave by not focusing on their BB OS10 and apps while they had the chance.
