Almost funny to discover those pricing today. I already thought the S10 was overpriced, but this is the cherry on the cake !
For those hesitating to switch to a Chinese budget phone, as a long term Android power user (S2,S4,S7,Nexus,...), I can only recommend you to try one. I was not 100% sure when I bought my Xiaomi Mi 9 for 450€ one year ago, and all I can say is that I am extremely satisfied with it and that I am not gonna pay more than that for a phone anymore.
Samsung is really heading in a terrible direction since a few years, Bixby is an other good example of what to do wrong. The only positive thing in today's announcement is the DUO integration, thank you for not creating an other cloned app with a Samsung stamp on it.

All im saying is the prices for these new flagships are just getting out of hand. My recently purchased omen laptop is about 1800 dollars and it has served me as an overall tech for work and play. My last 2000 dollar ROG laptop has served me for over 7 years. But for a phone to almost reach that price? It is unpractical for a phone that you replace every year (or a few months)
I can still remember the day when i got my original note 1 for about 3000 dirhams (more or less 800 US dollars) and i thought that was so expensive. To pay 1350 for s20ultra is just not an option anymore.

Good luck 🤞🏾 with that.... Prices getting more and more crazy, for what, a slightly bigger phone, no significant upgrades and a different rear camera array? I am a fervert fan of the Galaxy S line, been buying every new each year since the S5, I'll keep my still brand new S10 plus, because these prices be crazy 🤪
5G isn't even available in most countries around the world, so make a whole other phone for 5G rather than add it as an additional network configuration on the 4G model. Marketing at it's best. Keep your phone Samsung, prices must go down. If not, I have been itching to try one of these Chinese brands.

Phones for rich people. Wait 3 months and they'll lose 30% of their RRP due to poor sales. Thats my advice. Don't buy on day 1

let us be honest here, most of us are gear-heads in terms of phones..
but the trend is, all the big phone companies push the prices higher and higher for their flagship phones, despite the fact that they know that we know their pricing is absurd..
But they get away with it , cos we the "high-end stuff buying costumers" are like drug addicts, they know that.
And we pre-order the phones, or at least we get in the line to buy one every fu.. time...
So they have no incentive to hit on the brake and start selling the phones with way more reasonable margins...
So its up to us..
If enough people around the world are willing, to not to pre-order and wait months to get one, after they lowered the price... they will get the message that not even the "high-end stuff buying costumers" are willing to pay that cash for a phone that they know they will replace either next year or in two years..

I've had Samsung since the day they first came out with the galaxy phones.
Now it's time to get a new phone S20 Ultra here I come. Loyal to the end, everything in my house is Samsung if they make it I own it.

iOS is pure garbage.
All my friends using iPhone over the years have always been complaining about getting everything late from fast charging to big screen to better design, etc.
I'll rather buy a Budget flagship from 2020 than a 5 year old iPhone with nothing to offer compared to Android.

I'LL wait a couple of months uptil April-May for the ultra to drop in price. By that time, we'll have a working gcam and Root and other things as well. Plus 200 dollars less.
Also will get an idea, what other manufacturers are bringing to the table in 2020.

Anyone who buys a flagship Samsung on or near release is crazy. The price will drop by 30% within 6 months.
Also the price hike is nothing new all manufacturers such as Apple, Google, Huawei do the same every year. So you haven't got much of a choice unless you go for a Xiaomi or the likes but they're not in the same league as Samsung Apple Huawei Pixel flagships.
