I used to have the latest S flagship phone. From the S5 to the S7 and now on the S9 but with Samsung's flagship prices going up like crazy, I can no longer afford them so I guess I'm settling for something less expensive even though I'm losing out on some features

Just for me personally I am waiting until they get the camera's under screen. I love screen space so when they get rid of the camera from view and you can see more screen that will be a nice change.

you can see how bad it is when you see how fast the prices go down. 1mo after release the s10+ will be 400usd or less with warranty. thats more than 59pc off after a year for a phone likely to be almost as good
then of course there's Xiaomi and others.

So no, we're NOT going to buy a Galaxy phone this year especially with the ridiculous price Samsung is asking for it.

The problem is Apple you can thank them for these ridiculous prices we see today on flagships, the iPhone X started this off with it's $999 price tag.
If Apple priced the iPhone 11 Pro Max at $900, then the S20 Ultra would be around this price aswell.
The general public most don't know or care about specs ect on a smartphone, if it's expensive then it must be good that why alot of them buy an iphone, Samsung does want the public to think because it cheaper it's inferior hence the ridiculous prices we see today.

This is just getting stupid. the normal S20 is 1000$, come on! i remember when the best phone was 500$ now is too much!, Waiting for the RealmeX3pro, or something like that!

Recently I've almost stopped reading smartphones related articles. It's make no sence to spend a time on all this and evel less sence to spend a money. My current P30 will be a great phone for at least 3 years from now and I don't care if Samsung tries to sell its phone at $50000 price tag. Nowadays phones look so similar to each other and cost so expensive that it makes absolutely no sence to purchase unless your phone is broken or really old model. Also the times when phone was an image accessory are almost gone as well...

My bet is on base price 899.
Anyway
I have a question for the GSMARENA writer. As we knew SD 865 is 5G only as it's LTE modem is with the external 5G modem. So, no 5G means no 4G. That means 5G must. So, how is this a 4G price in USA ? Is these exynos model or is Qualcomm making separate SoC for Samsung or all the info we knew about SD865 are wrong ?

And please, No iPhone lik... moreI've never experienced this "slowing down" issues on my iPhone since 2009. But I know the software is extremely complex, so I forgive them for a few bugs. Yes, they can do better on the release side of things, but they have also fixed bugs quickly.
Apple is a consumer electronics company. No one is holding a gun to my head and forcing me to buy the iPhone or AirPods. Nor will I die if I don’t use an iPhone. I do so because they legitimately offer me a superior user experience over the other alternatives on the market (based on my own definition thereof).

To say this is ridiculous would be an understatement. I'm going to wait for another gen, with no software updates to my S8 anymore. I might eventually switch to something else, because prices have gone out of hand.

And please, No iPhone lik... moreAre you really sure about this? I actually have my own experience of using an iPhone 6s and Samsung Note Fan Edition (Exynos 8920). Chipset for the Note is the same as a Samsung S7, but has 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB.
My iPhone 6s at ios 12 is still faster than my Samsung Note FE running at Android 8 but with 2019 security patches. But the Note is a year newer. Opening apps in the Note is seriously laggy, the iPhone is quicker. Oh, the Note costed way more than the iPhone at the start.
Try to run demanding games for both phones. I couldn't even run low graphics in PUBG Mobile smoothly in the Note where the iPhone just aced it with less heating.
This is the mindset of people who can't afford and never tries an iPhone. Please, don't insult iPhone users. Let me remind you that iPhones are pricey because of the Apple Tax system and US-China trade war.
I also had a Samsung S10e and I cannot say it is a great phone by any means. It's still not fast enough. Battery life is not great. Only camera quality is the saving grace, but nothing else.
Be reminded that all phones even Android slows down after years of usage, because of aging chipset. Samsung is the worst offender in this respect, actually. Samsung S7 and S8 Exynos is seriously slow, slower than an iPhone 7 or 8.
I don't have intentions to insult but please, try out the phones, before you comment.

I will hold on to my iphone 11 pro max until the next updated LG version of Gx8 thinq.
