AnonD-558092, 06 Feb 2020I made this point on the 120Hz poll and got bashed to death... moreThat AI thing you bashed is the one that makes your daily phone usage be easier and better. Help with battery comsuption, do camera trick (pixel-binning, night mode, reduce noise and etc), multitasking and many more but you still said it useless? OK BOOMER

In general, the slope of a phone's screen edge approximates my level of interest.

GAMIRSFM, 06 Feb 2020Infinity display are small bezels, so you want larger bezels? It’s not about larger bezels, looking for flat ordinary screen without bezels or at least minimum bezels people tired and sick of that stupid curved/edge displays that introduced by Samsung through galaxy s8 and now even Samsung changed there edge design to boxy a bit edgy design that comes with note 10/note 10 plus. Hope Samsung get ride if that edge design with next S21 or upcoming note 20.

Whackcar, 06 Feb 2020They've run out of ideas... Phones stopped being practical ... more+1. Still appreciate the Note4 from the same era, which was free of nonsense (except VR support but that's not a problem) and full of absolutely everything (except for IP certification, which the S5 had) and others from around that time too.
Phones are not tools anymore. They're "jewelry", mass-produced fashion items. And to compete with themselves, they must find each year a new word to sell their latest under.

WoW. Please go for 7 or 7.6 inch displays with 20:9 or 21:9 ratio. I would love to see long big phones.

Sometimes i look at my mother's old broken Nexus 6 & marvel at it's perfection. A huge high-quality display, along with loud & clear front-facing stereo speakers, complimented by minimal bezels around it. A large battery (for it's time), stylish but also practical body & design language. Clean & modern software (outdated now, but still usable). Powerful hardware that is still sufficient for basic usage. That is what phones were like back then, and were supposed to improve going forward... But instead, things took a wrong turn & now we have the most unpractical & gimmickry phones to use today with very little variety to choose from. It's downright pathetic if you ask me.

Today it's about looks, specs and hype, not actual experience. They're all over high refresh rates today, yesterday they were all over AI, tomorrow will be all about other meaningless, easily forgotten junk. And they're racing for the "prettiest" device, regardless of the fact that it may be prettier, but also less convenient too.

I too agree on usability nightmare that's curved edges, but for normal people these phones (plus the upcoming G series and Z update) might finally bring Motorola some much needed traction. There's enough marketing material + brand reputation here that if Motorola can't cash in on it, they should shut shop and go home.

Innovation is steadily disappearing. A 90-120hz 6,6-7,6", waterfall/edged Displays are NOT useful in everyday life. For media consumption and gaming tablet sized phones with 120hz might be nice, but edged displays are horrible. Tablet sized phones arent pocketable and 120hz drain battery so it usually is turned off but edge might look nice and offer virtual buttons. It's just not working for many people. At least offer high end phones with 5,5"-6" to the normal customer.
