One had to give credit, where it's due. In many ways, Samsung led the fight against the iPhones, otherwise Android was making nothing worthy of a fight against the iPhones, atleast in the early years and for a while. There were phones with better hardware (Sony, HTC and LG), but they had aimed serious issues with software, image quality, updates and sp much more. Plus, while precious Samsung skins on Android were heavy, they actually changed and improved the customer experince, Greatly. As a matter of fact, many of these have rolled into Android's latest versions.
About Huawei, the numbers seems highly exaggerated, much like its figures of the Mate X (which probably didn't sell anywhere close to the released figures). While the Huawei P and Mate Series have great hardware and excellent imaging in a smartphone, also pioneering many firsts, their sales figures seem rather dubious. Though the sole reason for their ban seems to be unfair trade practices, something the US administration has been indulging in, for decades.

I like the history, however I notice in the S9 part, you said that it had 2 rear cameras. S9 has 1 rear camera, S9+ has 2. But otherwise, that’s a not bad history. Some are correct, some are wrong. That’s why I said it is not bad.

IpsDisplay, 09 Feb 2020Having public Romance with your nostalgia of the S3 is one ... moreYou're just as bad. Samsung has been leading the way all this time. However that lead has pretty much dwindled.
And oh wow the screen was saturated... Where most others weren't that great or accurate....wow...

I wonder why this fanmade infographic could even make a header in this site at all, looks like it have a lot of typo and basic mistakes that even by a simple google would fix (for example, the Galaxy S8 pictured with hardware buttons and Galaxy S7 Edge with side bezels?)

If they are they worried about them stop crippling the device, actually fully update all the components, and don't over price so much.
Then boom. Sales.
But that kind of real world logic doesn't resonate well with greedy corporates.

In that anthropological representation of the phones, if they were replaced with iPhones it would be 8 or so of the Dryopithecus (Every iPhone until the 8) and then 3 of the Neanderthal. (The X and every one after it)

The S5 family are the last nice and normal phones of
the S series. Then started the glass-and-glue madness,
disease, epidemic. And further curved, twisted, folded,
notchless, bezelless, nonremovable one-use, waterfall,
punch-hole crap with $ thousands prices for the new,
tatooed customers.

Also trademark of being laggy and gave Android a bad image. Had a Note 3 with TouchWiz UI and really felt the slowness. Had an iPhone 5s later and it was much faster. Samsung also slapped cheap materials in their phones back then.
