Abhi-Darth-Plagueis, 12 Feb 2020But it doesn't say 'Chinese top executives won't be coming ... moreNo worries now since MWC is cancelled. But if it wasn'tm they would be traveling first class, be in their suite and briefly on stage. For a virus to lie dormant in once body for more than 14 days is highly unlikely.

That's still irresponsible of Xiaomi. What if someone's found positive on day 15, right in the middle of Mi10 pro announcement?
A skipped MWC wouldn't put a Rat's worth of dent in their profits. Plus, there's plenty precedent of Companies pulling stunts like announcing their stuff right before MWC anyway, so why this desperation?
Are they purposely trying to spread the outbreak in Europe?

Xiaomi is doing the bare minimum. There are claim of possible 24 days incubation, and some have mildly symptoms.
They should have done 24 days. And provide free mask and goggles for the attendees.

Anonymous, 11 Feb 2020What a stupid company. Even if someone has had no symptoms ... moreWhat's so mysteriously ironic is, the cost of masks, protective gear (PPE), disinfectant supplies, etc. has soared in China, and add insult to injury, Oppo and Vivo are about to cash-in and started immediately mass producing face-masks for the region.
Hmm...

This is thoughtless, desperation, and immoral. Cancel this garbage. MWC/CES/E3 has been a joke for years anyway!

Well, that was escalated that fast, that the comment section turns into debating time and room about religion and biology. Hopefully it stops here, and don't bring anything like sociology or economics here...
BTW, well, this year MWC getting much quite than usual due the 2019 n-Cov Virus outbreak killing 1000+ death by the time of update...

I think they will be the only ones to come considering that everyone has or is pulling out of MWC these year.
