That's a little shortsightened, everybody is entitled to buy the Phone he or she wants. If my neighbour wants to spent more than a 1000 euro on an iPhone. it's ok by me. I will stick with a cheaper device. It does the right things for me.

Either you are not an IT Technician or you just entered the field. The only magic apple has is advertising! They get their hardware made by Foxconn like everybody else, Apple is just overpriced and that's a fact you will have to get used to in this field you may have recently joined! CPU is only top of the charts on paper. In reality that cpu is totally bottlenecked by poor co-hardware and iOS itself.

Also they have arguably the best CPUs .
Other than that it's mostly just software and the rest is indeed nothing special. But that's already 2 big special things ..

So basically the users are paying a premium yet have to end up begging for things incorporated on 200 dollar devices.

Apple does put top hardware in their devices in terms of both quality of components and logic board design. No one comes even close to Apple! And this is not just my opinion but the expert conclusion of unbiased senior IT engineers who do advanced level component repair of logic board. Apple products quality is also a well known fact, not a myth. That's why so many people choose Apple products and don't even look at Dell, HP, Lenovo etc. Buy what you like, enjoy it and do not speak about what you know very little!
