Whoever makes hardware for Apple, it does it as nobody else. Let me remind you that all Apple hardware is designed by Apple engineers and they're simply genius. All hardware is the same from different manufacturers is only true when it's said about Windows based computers hardware. Apple is different. So Apple fans are absolutely right - expensive means good indeed. But it's very wrong that Dell, HP, Lenovo, Acer and others put Apple like price tags on their "fancy", good looking new devices. Because inside the're utter rubbish - cheap boards, components, stupid / straightforward design etc. And I'm even not a fan of Apple. I'm just an IT technician.

Not get rid of telephoto cam. The size also smaller than 6.6 inch and slimmer because not using big camera sensor 108 MP and less battery.
So it will be cheaper. Flat screen is also welcome. Many people still prefer flat screen than curved becauae it is cheaper and easy to get tempered glass.
Now, no choice at all. The vanila version is not worth because missing telephoto cam.

Xiaomi should have made the 10 a smaller one, not a crippled camera abomination. That way people would have had a choice, instead there are 2 giant phones, one great and one not a flagship worthy. I'd rather go for the Mi note 10 or 9t pro or oneplus/realme than this cheaper misunderstanding...

The hardware used by Apple is the same that you'd find in their competitors products (since they don't make anything, they just design!) the only unique bit of Hardware they use is the CPU in the iPhone, iPad, Watch, appleTV & iPod (Manufactured by Samsung, Foxconn, Pegatron and TSMC btw) and the crappy T2 chip in their PC line that makes repairs difficult/Impossible! Almost always forcing the Customer to buy a new device when it fails!
In reality there is no "magic" in Apple Products. However if you like it, buy it!

Apple doesn't produce its own parts, they use same parts as other manufacturers just choose to price the entire product higher.
You can get great quality hardware at cheaper price too. Unfortunately Apple fans think otherwise.Expensive doesn't mean great quality always.

Loh, 14 Feb 2020I find the new specs impressive for the price. Although it ... moreyeah the ads were a turnoff for me before but i suppose if they dont do it, they would have to be charging samsung prices with these specs.
To be honest, with all the ads constantly in our face everywhere, the first time i had a xiaomi phone, i ddnt even realise there were ads in many places until people started pointing it out.

Oh damn this phone is really cool! 10w reverse charging?!
the best part is the 90hz panel but the software already has issues with 60hz
30w wireless charging must make it cook xD and it has so many features. but for a xiaomi phone it's so expensive. I rather get a samsung or oneplus with better more fluid UI

I'd say you have idea how Apple hardware is designed and what kind components they're using. Being a IT technician for the last 12 years, I had opened nearly every Macbook, iPhone, iMac and well and hell a lot of Windows based machines. And I'm in constant contact with my co-workers - senior IT engineers who can properly evaluate logic boards design, components and many other things. I can say with full confidence that Apple hardware design and quality is out of this world and worth every cent they're asking for. Just grab a logic board from Macbook Pro 2016, have a good technical look at it and compare with any Dell, Asus, HP etc motherboards. You might get it then.
