Whackcar, 13 Feb 2020As others have pointed out, it has many shortcomings compar... moreFor those pricing 120Hz, keep in mind that over 90Hz is almost imposibile for that eye to detect diferences. 60 to 90 is a big step. 90 to 120 is very small for eye to detect.
Now, Sami has 120Hz only on fullhd+, and 60hz on maximum resolution. This is a really, almost, useless future. I preffer to have 90hz on fullhd+ becouse i have same resolution and more battery life with almost undetected difference in refresh rate.
When it comes to 5G în S20 and S20+, they loose big time in front of Mi10, becouse those don't have microwave.
All in all, despite some gimicks and ugly curved display, Xiaomi is better deal for me.

Whackcar, 13 Feb 2020As others have pointed out, it has many shortcomings compar... moreNot quite sure about the regular Mi 10, but Mi Note 10 Pro comes with PROPER side facing stereo speakers like the one found on Mate 20 X. As for the Micro SD card support - All 5G variants of S20 series apart from S20 Ultra with 12GB of RAM lack expandable storage just like Mi 10 series, according to Anandtech.
"more advanced Nona-Bayer sensor"
I also doubt this is necessarily true, as Mi 10 will almost always have a significant advantage in detail rendition due to twice as large effective resolution in binning mode (unless S20 series comes up with very good super res algorithms on its main sensor).
IMO this phone is excellent for the price, and if S20 and P40 series end up disappointing, I will legitimately consider getting the Pro variant to replace my current ones. For real.

Whackcar, 13 Feb 2020The Pro version seems like a good phone overall. I do w... moreI think IP cert costs a lot of money due to testing. However, even with IP cert, the phone is not guaranteed to survive in real life scenarios of water damage and warranty doesn't cover it. Remember Sony used to advertise using their phones in pools but people still manage to break it. Some phones without the IP cert can actually survive water damage, for example the Mate 10. IMO, it's not a big deal if you know how to take care of your phone.

Time to leave Xiaomi after long 5 years. Total disappointment from Xiaomi with huge price point. And Vanilla Mi 10 is just a crap from mi!!! Useless depth and macro sensor and a downgraded wide angle and no telephoto!!!

I do w... moreSome of these xaiomi without ip rating were tested to have water resistance anyways. Maybe not all but still.
Meanwhile, a major brand making leftover parts- edition Lite devices have no ip rating while having a sealed battery.

The biggest upgrade of a Xiaomi flagship. Significantly bigger battery, very fast wireless and wired charging support, LEGIT STEREO speakers and cutting-edge camera sensor. Seems like the 6.4" display didn't pan out which is expected. 6.67"...sems familiar...It looks to me like a FHD version of OP7 Pro display. Too bad for the people who wanted a compact flagship. Xiaomi has really nailed it with this one.
However, the most disappointing thing is the pricing. 1000 CNY / 143 USD bump from it's predecessor is nothing to scoff at. I think it's slightly overpriced but then again, this is the first Snapdragon 865 phone that will be out in the market (not sure about Axon 10s Pro). Xiaomi is trying to have a slice of cake from the rich bois. I guess we'll have to wait for the Redmi K30 Pro, the value for money flagship.
