Monty, 17 Feb 2020What are you talking about? Sounds like conspiracy to me. ... moreYour guess is wrong. I use a Sony Xperia and a Motorola (Lenovo with Moto branding,to be honest). You just sound like a troll who has an interest into attacking Samsung. You make up things about Samsung that I never Heard from it's users, while recommending Xiaomi and just Xiaomi, not Nokia, not oppo, not Huawei, not LG, not Vivo, just Xiaomi. You either a big fan or a small employee, nobody has that much time. You literally can't read any phone review without you guy's starting with Xiaomi. Enough is enough , mobile world is bigger than Xiaomi and not everyone wants to make compromises to save money.

OwnFix3, 15 Feb 2020Never. You have to understand the mindset of premium custom... moreYou have a point maybe in US or EU because your argument is leaning more towards a Luxury product. In China for example, Mi 10 (Pro) is a premium product. Luxury is when the price is much more valued over the function of the product while Premium still has a price and quality ratio (so the price can still be justified with quality), quality could be in terms of build and even functionality of a phone so there's that.

Be in their shoes and you'll get to know they don't give a dime, because it doesn't matter. They don't go for features, they go for brand value. And they would never want to know about this phone cause they don't care. It's waste of a bloody time for them.

Even in South East Asia, Xiaomi is not known that much. BBK subsidiaries, Samsung, and Apple were still the ones being known by what I would call "normies" like my mom, non-techie friends, etc. The main disadvantage of Xiaomi from those companies is their marketing. In order to operate on very small margin and cheaper prices, marketing and advertising is done in minimal, mostly via social media platform only. Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, and Apple does a pretty grandiose ads, hiring superstars, actors, taking up billboards, TV and radio airtime just to market their product. Whatever they expend doing so were offloaded to the final price of their phones. So basically, it is the consumer that pays for the ads. The higher pricing does not necessary means you have a "premium" device, a significant portion of it comes from heavy marketing by the manufacturer.

Xiaomi in the smartphone department does has the brand value, but only for the midrange segment. The premium customers will never buy a high end xiaomi device. Because when they see the alternatives, like Samsung and Apple, they'll get blown away by there shine.
So this Mi10 is still a good phone not for premium customers but for their base customers which is of vast majority in developing countries.

John Marston, 14 Feb 2020Cheap mean Exynos cpu by Samsung in mobile phones for Asia ... moreLook man, I have the S10e for a year and it never lagged, battery drain over night is under 5%, not 15% as you said... and if you turn your phone off it's just 1%. And the S10e was never known to be their best battery phone.
You talk about Note8 and Note 10+ yet you mention that Xiaomi never needs a charge 2x a day? If you had Note 10+ you would not have Xiaomi too, there would be no need for it. Your story makes no sense, and is unbelievable, especially to us who actually use Samsung flagship phones!
If Samsung was as bad as you claim it to be, their mobile division would be out of business long time ago!

I am a samsung user, I want to buy the s20 ultra but when the phone was announced,oh my I was blown away for the price tag and start looking for alternatives, and this one got my interest. Samsung is following apples business model. This two think they are the law for setting prices. Id rather buy a professional camera than use my phones camera. Anyhow even if the phones camera is too advance, if the user is too basic, then everything becomes useless right?

John Marston, 14 Feb 2020Cheap mean Exynos cpu by Samsung in mobile phones for Asia ... moreIt’s obvious you’re just hating on Samsung, Samsung products feel anything but cheap. I’ve held a Xiaomi flagship and I wasn’t impressed, more hardware and features costs more money, cheap is cutting corners,it’s okay if you can’t afford a premium device, don’t ruin it for those who can

Petrica, 14 Feb 2020So, you know that Xiaomi phones are superior to Samsung's b... moreYour register is a bit toxic, so please tone it down. To give you insight given that I live in China and have prominently used both manufacturers - Samsung is slightly better as a device, but Xiaomi is far better when it comes to the price that you pay. I, myselfm have bought a Mi10 and have been using it for a day now, and I can tell you that it is an absolute beast of a phone in every sence. In general, it comes down to what we use phone for in our daily lives and is it actually worth it to pay $1300 for a Samsung device, whereas you can get the exact same thing for far less.
