Most of the stuff in the phone is not something they took off the shelf.
They bumped up specs in all aspects, if they will sell it for 200$ then there will be no Xiaomi and no phones. Come on people, there is no magic in this. Cheap means components that manufacturer wants to get rid of or super easy to make or are leftovers of producing other components, expensive means something that just started production and manufacturer want to get their money back for equipment they made to produce it. You will have cheap Mi 10 in 2-3 years when those specs will be considered old. I wanted best and versatile cameras paired with 855 or 865 cpu, this seems to be it, I acknowledge it and ready to pay the price.

With the fear of the coronavirus and many businesses in China are closed, I question this report, and it seems like Xiaomi is pulling a Huawei when it comes to real numbers.

Ufs... moreWhen people read the word Xiaomi, they think cheap. When Xiaomi defies this logic, they get annoyed. Considering this is their most expensive flagship and by a significant margin, they need to deliver the best possible experience in all aspects. Let's not forget that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have 5G modems which raise the price a bit.
I'll be honest, it's slightly pricey but if you want the current fastest smartphone, this is it. Xiaomi wants people to view the Mi 10 as a premium smartphone. If you want cheaper, wait for Redmi's / Realme's flagship.

I agree, Xiaomi have very nice prices comparing to other players but that's still way expensive for many people.

Would love to get it but the price... I know its cheaper than most brands out there but my budget is not prepared. Probably will look at realme or mi 11 pro.
