"its a proven fact that IOS apps crash more times than android ones so not quite as stable as you think! read gsm arenas blog and you will see official data on the matter.. not to mention there are considerably more android phones out there then iphone this figure is even more dwarfed"

Apps on iOS just crash. All you do is restart the apps. They don't crash the whole OS like on Android. Android is too unstable where you need to restart the phone or pull the battery or sometimes need a full reset/wipe due to some crashes.

Windows Phone is becoming more popular each day. Haters are increasing at the same time.

Windows Phone Mango won't be upgraded to WP8 because it will first update to WP Tango...then we'll see if it will push WP8.

It's like jumping ahead to 2 updates if ever WP8 will indeed be an update.

Although it's not a big issue if it is compared to Android. How many updates did Android phones get? There are so many phones who didn't get upgraded from 1.6 to 2.1, 2.1 to 2.2, 2.2 to 2.3, 2.3 to 4.0. WP 7 and WP 8 have different kernals. So it is hard to get update. But I hope the current Lumia 900 will get the update. (Maybe it not the stock Appolo, but it will get a update like Appolo).
Let's see, time will tell everything.

1st review, obviously it's not due to the phone's problem this guy just got tired of it fast. He either wanted a custom UI or he is just trolling. If he didn't like Vanilla android, he wouldn't have liked Metro on WP7.

2nd review battery life is his complaint? Maybe someone should've told him that LTE is still highly inefficient when it comes to battery management as it is powering an additional chipset, he then complains about Verizon acting as if the Device is some how related to his poor experience on Verizon services? Third, he's using 4.0.2, even though 4.0.3 has been out since January?

3rd review, dude just got unlucky and received some defective devices, it happens. isolated case, this isn't as if thousands of Nexus are affect and a recall or an issue needs to be address? Like maybe... the Nokia N8 screen issue?

                      Maybe you should try again?

In analogy to OS releases (No; Windows Mobile is not Windows Phone, not a hint of windows mobile in it)

Windows Phone 7.0.7004 is the Android Cupcake (1.5)
Windows Phone 7.5 Mango is the Android Donut
Windows Phone 7.5 Tango is the Android Eclair
Windows Phone Apollo would be the counterpart of Android Froyo

Imagine Windows phone when it reaches the 7th release of the OS as compared to ICS.

There is no official word from MS. So don't talk about it. Android has fragmentation issue, even developers agree it. Check in google. I am not saying WP is perfect. But real facts should be accepted. And remember when Android was new, it also get ported apps from iOS. It's is the job of developers. So argument regarding this matter is useless. Android may be leader and popular but percentage of satisfication is less. You may check it in google.

Still, before Nokia started making WP7 all the others were making their Windows phones look like office equipment, and advertising them improperly (if at all), and I'd say that Nokia was the first one to really "get" what WP7 should be about. Hence, the growing recognition and popularity."

Windows Phone wasn't popular before the Lumia 900 because there weren't many advertisements from the carriers. Now AT&T is advertising this phone like crazy and supporting Windows Phone. Verizon in the US is about to do the samething for Windows Phone. Verizon is the 2nd largest carrier in the US and currently has only one WP phone, while it has around 30 Android phones.

                                      1. I bought this phone 2 weeks ago, and initially I was very excited about it. Android 4 OS looked and felt great, the phone was very fast and snappy, and the screen was great. However, once I got to use it for a few weeks I got very disappointed.

                                      2. I regret purchasing the phone, for following reasons:
                                      - Even if you get an extended battery, to last a work day you will have to turn off a whole bunch of things like 4g, screen brightness, location and synch services.
                                      - Camera is awful
                                      - Build quality and material used are cheap, requires a strong case
                                      - Verizon is an equally crappy carrier (switching from at&t in new york i had high expectations). Calls will drop, 4-3g switching will kill the battery, forget about ota updates
                                      - Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.2 is not flawless: Turning on encryption bricks the phone at startup randomly, Weather widget is broken, screen rotates with a huge lag, launcher crashes (i have to use Apex). Overall, has an experimental software kindof feel to it.

                                      3. First Samsung Nexus arrived... on the first day (with a full charge)it powered itself off several times (during phone calls, exploring apps and while text messaging). Sent it back and received a replacement Samsung Nexus w/in a couple days. The second day of ownership, the speaker on the bottom goes out... no ringing, can't go hands free, and no sounds w/ the exception of the earpiece speaker for phone calls. Had to leave the phone on "vibrate" to notify me of incoming calls... sending this one back too. 2 strikes in a weeks time. Tied into a 2 year contract I'm not going to take my chances on a third Samsung Nexus. I'm opting for something else. Wanted to like it, enjoyed it when it worked, great screen/display. After 1 week and two Nexus later, ended up hating it!
