Shuvo, 18 Feb 2020I think main camera will be 108MP I kind of hope not. I really want to see someone implement OmniVision's 48MP OV48C instead. Same goes for Sony's IMX708, but I assume the latter will come in a higher price range.
Base pixel size being 1.2 micron, perfect for daylight, and binning to 2.4 micron pixels for excellent low light.
Native 108MP at 0.8 micron pixels on the sammy sensor really only works under ideal conditions, so the then which implementation?
Binning of 9 pixels, like Samsung does themselves, means 12MP will pretty much be the default shooting mode there. So still they age old 12MP limit for daylight shots.
Binning four pixels like Xiaomi means 27MP at 1.6 micron pixel size, plenty good for daylight, but not as optimal performance in low light compared to the 2.4 micron pixels when binned to 12MP.
OmniVision's OV48C seems like a better solution. And if the IMX708 gets the same recipe, the I really want that in my next phone.

I'm getting more and more confused with the naming and segmentation of realme, oppo and vivo.
The previous realme flagship is X2 pro (the regular X2 is a successor of realme X, which didn't have any pro variant). But now, realme X50 pro (as a successor of X2 pro)? And then oppo had find series, which was cancelled last year only to be replaced by reno series as their flagship, and then now they wanted to launch both? Vivo.. other than iQOO series, their naming is also a mess

20X zoom a.k.a. 2X real zoom... But honestly even if it was 20x real zoom, I don't think I'd ever buy a phone with double punch-hole, that thing is straight forward idiotic.

I'll keep my realme X2 Pro, thanks. The difference is marginal and if it lands in SE Asia, it'll be a 4G-version only.

It seems now that every company will be jumping on the Hybrid zoom bandwagon & making a big deal out of it. What's pathetic is they'll never mention "hybrid" in the promo material. Instead they'll make their own trademarked names for it such as "Space Zoom" & "Milky Way Zoom" & "Other Dimension Zoom". Such baloney.
