Anonymous, 18 Feb 2020that's almost $1600.00, probably includes duties and taxesIt's the SRP already in Samsung stores and other official distributors, 1500 USD (PhP 79990) using $1 - PhP53.00 exchange rate. Nevertheless, it's really amazing how people receive this new concept. It's kinda make or break (pun) in my opinion, but Samsung is really brave for always trying out different routes.

There's a tear down video from JerryRig now. It, in fact, has a very thin glass underneath the plastic. Not really that revolutionary, but it does make it a tad more durable than the Fold. But not by much. It doesn't make much difference on a durability standpoint since there's still a plastic layer on top, which does scratch easily the same as the one on the Fold. And even if Samsung calls it a "protective layer", you can't easily replace it since removing it destroys the display and cracks the very thin glass underneath.

As any foldable device now, it is too fragile for everyday use, need to wait for better screen protection, when foldables will have a chance

samsung should get sued for this. The marketing team has blatantly provided false misleading information on what the content material is. Glass is hard and brittle and it has certain qualities that define what glass actually is. In samsungs case they are just creating marketing hype. If they did not mention it was glass then it would absolutely fine. They obviously haven't read the definition of what glass is.

Bahrain pre-order is priced at 575 BHD which is around 1525 USD including the 5% VAT. My expectations were lower than this since price of previous galaxy phones were close to the US prices. I was advised that units will be available by March 8 which is still 3 weeks away.

Samsung has advertised the Z-Flip as it has Glass display but in reality, it is a very fragile plastic-like material that gets scratches and residues from even fingernails.
