That's why i think Nvidia just needs to stick to what they do best the desktop/laptop PC GPU's they make. Since Nvidia makes the best GPU desktop/laptop PC processors hands down.

AnonD-9023, 28 Apr 2012Actually , U have to understand that Android OS itself has ... moreI understand what you are saying; what I meant was a full OS overhaul. I know it's much to ask, but consider this: they are on the 9th Android version already and it's still 2012. OSes are practically built on existing ones. If they were to decide to make the next version from the scratch{now you understand why I said it is actually too much to ask} and treat this priority issue causing the lag once and for all. In a few years time all would have been forgotten and the OS would actually rule. I know the newly-made OS will not to be backwards compatible with most of the existing mobile apps and software in the Android market so maybe they may create a specific software to enable backward compatibility. After that, a quad core Android will be more powerful than even the ALIENWARE line.

AnonD-34268, 26 Apr 2012 Wow! Samsung just keeps banking on the ignorance of the p... moreActually , U have to understand that Android OS itself has problems regarding its framework , developers cant do anything (not much extent).

        http://digg.com/newsbar/Mobile/is_android_doomed_to_lag_more_than_ios_techland_time_com

No hardware/UI acceleration means they have to use really high power hardware inorder to compensate the lags and make the devices smooth , even though ICS says its having hardware acceleration , i really dont think its right because once try HTML5 on android devices and then on windows phone or even 2009 model iPod touch , they handle it better than android cuz its not hardware issues as u said or not even software issues (i mean not issues from apps which need optimization), its the issue with OS itself , Even stock android doesnt do great with the hardware it has like Nexus , I have seen many issues , again all OS have issues but Android is only good on some devices like Galaxy s2 , Nexus has lots of bugs and errors , If u just consider the "Optimization" another big thing missing from android is lack of auto-optimization like iOS , well u can argue about this but this feature is good especially considering Android as very popular OS , in iOS for example if RAM gets flushed out , apps automatically close and make the phone smooth and those apps are catched and next time u open they are booted from where they are left off , u can say iOS has no true multitasking etc but its a nice feature android needs especially on low end hardware models.

They could've just doubled the IPC and make it a dual core that's just as powerful as a quad core without eating so much battery. Samsung made this chip with marketing hype in mind as most people think More Cores are always faster. 4-core Mali400 is a joke though, why did they ditch SGX543MP4+

            yeip,

the exynos on the Sgs3 crushes HTC x one with quite a margin...

and yes also the dualcore note...

I know some people have been waiting for some 8 core that last 9 days on full brightness, but honestly what for, so you can stare at a quadrant score and get a hard on? Im sure the SGS3 will be fine, maybe it will be super sexy with these still very high spec internals?

And ONE X screen alone is a reason to get it over the ONE S.

Sadly, I just confirmed I won't be "upgrading" to a SGS3. After I lost my SGS2 I decided to wait for the 3, but THE selling point was an A15 based architecture along with a better GPU. I think I'll go for the Note (it will be considerably cheaper and still one of the best phones out there that fits my needs) in the meantime. If the Cupertino Based Company comes with an A15 processor in the Iphone 5, then Iphone 5 ftw and shame on Samsung. I just wanna see that Exynos 5250 out for sale in a gadget!

Just waiting for a quad core Krait to become the flagship, but something tells me this wont be available till early next year. That is if they decide to make it.

usman, 26 Apr 2012do you know that one S beats the shit out of one X?? Which ... moreBecause it's a quad-core. Qualcomm made the right move in developing a more efficient and powerful dual-core which can actually be used as opposed to a quad-core like the Tegra 3 or Exynos 4412 which will be fantastic if it's used to its full extent but never will because nothing in Android is really coded for more than two cores.

there isn't anything wrong with the s3 specs. in fact its pretty damn good!

what were you expecting? high end PC like specs? be realistic dude.
dual core is still sufficient for a phone. sure it might seem nice to have a quad core but why do you need it?
so you're phone can be the best on benchmarks? benchmarks don't mean anything when it comes down to daily use.
