No matter how "efficient" (loosely using that word mind you) the A13 chip is, it can in no way make up for a difference of almost half the battery capacity of the S10. The other phones you mentioned are compact enough and work just fine. 5mm or so in length doesn't make them much bigger phones. Also the Mi9 SE is a great phone with a decent enough chipset where the performance differences between the 712 and flagships is negligible at best.

Diference is in soc and camera,thats it. Android devices of 150-200 offer more premium quality with 2 years support.Enough support for that price. I had many devices and believe me, iphone its not the same like before. U said phone sales. Iphone sales fall year by year in every peace of this planet. Only ios keep them in life,without perfect os and optimisation they are dead.

As for the price level, it would be the cheapest of the compact smartphones, i.e. in a case less than 140mm high and narrower than 70mm. The Pixels or the S10e don't even fit into these criteria, although they can be considered. The Xiami Mi 9 SE costs about 300 euros in my country and it's far from being as performant, not to mention the support!

I have not heard any single report from GsmArena, Notebookcheck, Anandtech (or any other highly regarded website) reporting ios is a bottleneck. Only low amount of RAM is as it limits ability of multitasking. The problem is the ecosystem can be restrictive and has minimum amount of customisations.

            Intentional throttling may be related to thks but I did not find this significant in an iPhone 6s. It does have prolonged loading times but it runs just fine. It is still capable of running PUBG Mobile at medium graphics/framerate (maybe 20fps). Had heard some user running a Samsung S7 Exynos and it even throttles at the lowest graphics settings (low graphics, medium framerate). COD Mobile is smoother in the older, throttled iPhone too.

            Guy never tried a Samsung especially those running at Exynos chipset and play games with it to test how stressed the phone can be.

            Not saying the iPhone is easily a great phone. But considering no OS is perfect (MIUI has bugs here and there, ColorOS has aggressive power saving, or EMUI has no Google), well..

              JESUS CHRIST, they really gonna create that bullsh*t... This is the biggest joke of the decade. They at least should put a dual camera on back like iPhone 11. Or to make a Plus model with dual camera, 5.5" screen, 4GB RAM and the more acceptable Full HD resolution. Paying 400 EUR (at least) for 3GB RAM single camera phone with that freaking 6-year HD+ IPS screen in 2020 is more than ridiculous, while even the phones having 120HZ dynamicAMOLED HDR10+ QHD+ displays with 12GB RAM and 4-5 108MP 10-100x zoom cameras are getting something default!!! When realised on the markets this useless bulky junk will be like a rusty knife among bazookas...

With an A13 chip this smartphone is perfectly up to date, except for the display technology which should offer OLED. I'd rather have two stereo speakers than a hole in the screen, which could be 5.2 inches, that's true. It doesn't take away the augmented reality and all the really practical aspects, and the tracking of security updates. The only need really addressed by this phone is for a bigger battery, which will obviously be the case. It's not about bragging about a giant screen without edges, a 900 million pixel sensor, the ultimate 2020 or a logo, some people just want a small phone. Samsung could have offered an A3 2019 with excellent specs, they did not. Nor has Sony released a compact Xperia 5 to date.

                                    Courageous of them to remove the headphone jack on a phone with lots of space. They are so considerate, helping you save money on a cheaper iphone and also helping you make the decision to spend that savings on airpods.
