Not for absolute majority of smartphone users. That's why it's all useless crap and normal person will never find any difference between sound coming from iPod and LG V50. And people will choose iPod for sure.

They wouldnt be able to drive any high impedance headphone well as they dont have a high resolution 32 bit Digital to Analog Converter.

I love music, listen it a lot but I will never find & hear the difference between the sound coming from Huawei / Samsung Dolby Atmos, iPod, Google Pixel nothing / software tricked sound and, say, LG V40 / G8. They all sound the same to me in my earphones - Galaxy Buds - not bad by any means! Trust me, the rest 99.8% of people never find any difference either. Regarding speakers quality, old dinky Pixel 2 kills any fresh LG flagship easily.

Not saying that Samsung etc delivers mediocre audio quality but LG s quad dac by Bang and Olufsen is hardware that makes a difference in quality And quantity as the Analog part of the device is powerfull. There is no other phone that can drive high impedance (and high end ) headphones like LG can with the quad dac models. But hey this is just placebo

Wired Bose or Sony cans with my V30s are the best sound on anything I've ever experienced with the exception of some pro audio equipment that I use to own. Granted, I like the convenience of wireless when I'm on the go, but it's not even remotely comparable to wired over the ear headphones paired with newer LG phones.

Nice, but due to saome strange LG market policy, even V40 model isn't available in some countries. V50(s) also.

Didn't find any good about LG at all (highly acclaimed QUAD DAC appeared pure gimmick to me) and sold them all as quickly as possible :). That's it. End of story.

But their smartphone are utter rubbish and disastrous sales clearly tell about it. Half-dead Sony smartphones dept makes much better products than LG!

Unfortunately for LG, it is better on paper only. In reality it is NOT. I owned LG V30, V35, G8 having Pixel 3 at the same time recently and I do know what I'm talking about.

Bloody Xiaomi or basically any other Chinese phone maker can offer more, better and cheaper. This is not bias, brand bashing or anything like that. This is straight truth, the reality. That's why LG smartphone sales are horrible - they're far from getting any profit out of it. AND once again, both dirt cheap GALAXY S9 (with Dolby Atmos) and PIXEL 3 (maybe AptX plus just software magic, nothing more) DO SOUND BETTER from speakers and headphones than any LG phone. It's hard to believe but it is true as well. So keep being a blind fan, ignore the facts and support worthless, pathetic attempts of clear looser in smartphone world!

Actually I found that sound coming from Pixel 3 is far better than the one from LG V50. Better that average camera software on LG produce just average photos which is not good enough. Again, just take two years old dirt cheap by now Galaxy S9 and it has nearly everything as LG V50 or even V60. LG is always taking on Galaxies S series and never get a chance...
