I had the P910i for about 4-5 years, then got the Xperia Arc for about 6 months and upgraded to the S which I kept 4 years. It was a downgrade in design over the Arc, but had everything else better. Loved modding it following xda. It was easy and simple to tinker with it. Will give it another chance to live very soon :)

I had the SL one which is overclocked version of xperia s . A real garbage battery didn't last for more than 4 hours. Screen had viewing angle problem. Phone was extremely laggy sometimes I had to press the call button to call someone like 30 times, nothing happens , after putting the phone in my pocket it started to call sometimes hours later . So many of my friends received many calls but I was not on the line. It took many pictures by itself in my pocket so I had lots of black photos in my gallery. Simply horrible after that she!tty phone I decided to never ever buy another Sony phone .

Whackcar, 23 Feb 2020I think Sony Ericsson's golden period was between 2004-2008... morethe compact XZ1 was released in August 2017... the best photophone ever offered by Sony, the best jack output, the best LCD screen, the best performance, the best battery life, the best format with the best grip. They could have just improved the formula with more memory, more RAM, an SD 855, the XZ3's camera and an OLED screen while keeping the HD+ resolution on a diagonal of 4.7 inches (the switch to FHD+ on the compact XZ2 seriously affected the autonomy). Possibly a higher refresh rate. It's about differentiation, Sony, not doing what everyone else does for a higher price.

I think Sony Ericsson's golden period was between 2004-2008. Their feature phones were brilliant. Aside from some keyboard issues, there really wasn't much to dislike. Very satisfying phones. I had the opportunity to use numerous Walkman & CyberShot branded devices, and was rather pleased with most of them.

The design was spectacular. However, the back became wiggly after a few months, then it had to be taped into the device. Couldn't get a replacement shipped to my country.
My friend had a worse xperiance (pun intended), the lower portion below the transparent part broke. The device still worked, though.

Eh it was death to me of Sony after Ericsson's departure. This seems like a nice device though.
Good old days. Nokia, Sony Ericsson in charge. HTC, Blackberry and Samsung trying to capture some of the market share from the giants. Now look where we are! Shouldn't have lived to see a gradual downfall, not limited to mobile phones only, for everything mostly.

Xperia S was a great phone... I've had it in 2012 and lasted with me over a year fully rooted with BL unlocked, deodexed and customized!

SE lost the plot after the p910i,10 of millions of enterprise customers just wanting an updated p9 series, what did they release, theat horror to use, the p1.
All their Walkman series phones just seemed to confuse folk, then we got into the experia's, a few devices with the odd handy quirk, but too few and too pricey.
