It's mainly because it's being cheaper to manufacture. Cheap manufacturing while retaining higher pricepoints were always preferrable for Samsung. Wonder why Samsung midrangers are significantly lighter than competition? Because their midplate is also smaller than competing brands. That's another corner being cut to lower manufacturing cost.

Samsung always likes to spam their "favorite" midrange SoC to most of the flagships they had. It's a good thing the this phone is priced accordingly but I pity those who bought Samsung "midrangers" at a much higher price than this phone. The price and features of this phone is the sweet spot with this 9611 SoC.

Also, most of those phones have LCD displays & smaller batteries. You're just looking at the SoC & ignoring everything else.
All budget phones have compromises, you can't say that one is completely better than the other without being flawed in your reasoning. I hope my point is clear.

there are 3 cameras and a depth sensor. don't know why do people consider the depth sensor as a camera though it can't capture any image!
