We have lots of proof Google don't have it, so I'm sure that's what u say.

    Is Huawei going to be a third company sucking private user data, beside Google and Apple? Huawei should ditch GMS and switch to open source, for example they can use /e/ OS from e foundation. There is no need to collect any personal data. They can provide privacy to users instead of trying to be another walled garden.

They don't want a foreign element to go deep into their system and that's why they banned it. It's as simple as that.
              Google can make use of your data to manipulate you, sell it for money. On the other hand, China would give you some ccp love if they feel not so good towards you. Pick your poison.

                    I thought Indus OS is dead with Indian smartphone brands.

                      Make me some bank apps and I'm on Huawei.

                      Would love to support (big time) another thing than US/Google.

                        How would that make it popular when it already wasn't and came 'with' GMS?

                        You pick up any report by analysts and it always was the usual rhetoric about Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, One Plus, Oppo, Vivo etc. Shuffling places. Huawei wasn't in Indian market that much. It's top end phones were too expensive and didn't have the brand value OR the performance of Qualcomm top dogs in high end Samsungs or Xiaomi's. Mid-range Kirin 659 were a joke in overpriced honor phones. Even Kirin 710 was underpowered compared to competition. There was no Bootloader unlock so developers didn't show interest. And There wasn't Bollywood stars promoting latest flagships so customers too, didn't.

                        And then US ban hit it, which madw Indians more averse.

                        Let's face it, Huawei needs a lot more trust building.

                                FB, Instagram, Twitter, etc. are all American's companies, which means, they are all under the same statue as Google, MS, etc. to do business with Huawei.
                                It requires a "special" license from the US government that it could.be issued or it might not be issued to those companies.

                                Huawei and greedy companies can say whatever it likes but when it comes to US trade, there is only one rule that matters.

                                    I agree with you on the main issue. People in the west are too naive. Instead of supporting their own government, they are making them weak. There is a reason every other country is banning Huawei. Before other people start shouting, no your government is not doing this to protect your privacy. They are doing this to prevent any confidential data breach that can harm the country. The issue of western companies selling user data too.....gov doesn't care about that.
                                    You wouldn't want a foreign rival country to get too deep into your system when the said country is China.

                                      Indus OS is not an OS but a name of the developer of India's app gallery.
