Nokia please wake up before it is too late!! Bring us the N9 and new Maemo/MeeGo Harmattan devices, people would love it and it's beautiful UI!! Common Nokia!!!

anyway, will be enough brands and o.s. to choose. i do not bother, i do not care, i do not use apps. now i have n9 because i love the design very much. after this i will take any nokia even with windows 8,but i want pureview 808. i do not care. as long nokia will make phones, i will buy them. i think like mercedes clients:mercedes becomes very unreliable and loose its brand image very much in the last years, but clients with some social status will buy it no matter what. i saw doctors,lawyers,engineers very smart wich said in my orange shop: i wanna show me what you have best from nokia, anything else

About the phone OS wars... most of you guys are too young, but in the late 1980's there was a similar war of the PC OS. there was Apple, with a very nice os, closed system. Then there was MS with a shitty OS, but very open, and there was IBM with an excellent os, but no clients. You all know how it ended... It will be the same here.. Apple with survive with a smaller and smaller market share, Android will be the new Windows, and MS phone OS will die. It was never about quality

dude wp phones are seriously ugly. its more complicated then android , less apps, weak hardware, less customizable' limited functionality . my brother owed a wp phone and he throwed that phone to wall because it had nothing .my friend regrets of buying lumia 800 she says i should have bought android ' i saw her phone hanged thrice while opening facebook only. nw everyone is trying to gain ovr android and android is the one who made symbian ,ios,rim down and made wp devices weak even just after their launch. seriously i believe symbian belle is better than wp . and galaxy ace is a budget phone, illiterate people dnt see ram and etc . nw in future wp will require dual core like android did cz new software demands more . i own neo v and lumia 800 is a piece of crap in front of it

****ALL**** lumia series is a crippled phone.
1. can't do bluetooth transfer
2. must use zune, can't use linux
3. must buy ringtone from Microsoft, can't use MP3 that were in computer.
4. the list could go on a mile.
let me tell you WWWHHHYYYY Lumia series didn't and won't sell in Nokia stronghold (India, Indonesia, China, Brazil, Rusia) because:
1. in that country bluetooth transfer is crucial
2. not all the people have personal computer. these people might have access to PC, but might be not personally theirs (it might be belong to their parents, or their kids, or their sibling, or their cousin).
3. These market have lower income, if they already bought the MP3, and be forced to buy it once again for the phone, they will bad mouth-ing the phone to every person they know... at the end.... bad marketing.
4. Microsoft is not the main OS in most of this country. look at the sales of notebook, more than 50% of notebook were sold without OS, and this user will install Linux instead. and because WP7 requiring zune, this people will prefer android.
5. the list could go on a mile long

Different designs. The ARM A15 has a shorter pipeline, L2 cache, and is more energy efficient. Depending on the use of course the Dual core can outpace a quad core. If the application doesn't make use of the 2 extra cores then clock speed wins out.
Take for instance desktop computing. Playing back h264 video doesn't require multiple cores, so having a quad core or a dual core makes no difference; however, if you're talking about video encoding which can make use of the four cores then yes, the quad core will win.
Now back to mobile use, if I were to play a game that isn't very graphic intense, like lots of physics involved then the dual core at a higher clock speed would win.
Maybe you should do some research before commenting, makes you seem less unintelligent.

oh such negatives comments on here about windows and nokia. lets put it this way nokia just, yes just give up there 14 year leadership of top smartphone maker. didnt see apple there.
oh it was samsung gone top oh yes no LG either. as i see. for manufacturing and bringing out phones. it will only be a 2 horse race. Nokia and Samsung.
read the facts they dont lie. when windows 8 phones and tablets. they will just bolster a progressing market. i am to be a Lumia 800 owner. and will look at the future windows 8 hpnes and tablets. not be part of the i-sheep revolution. baa

People have laggy phone because they break the protection by rooting even the warranty lost if you root because you give access for apps to run in background and in boot causing the phone laggy and some of those apps are malicious

Truly LG has to stop even their current android phones this company is worse when it comes for updates or after sales service .Ive been through when i bought LG optimus 2x still it didnt got any updates when its counter parts like Sony ,Samsung,HTC has already got updated to ICS.Shame on you LG this company is only best to manufacture AC,fridge and washing machines !!!!!!!!

as for 2 handset, there were no 2 handset.
nokia/ms create a FUD/BS that carrier need 3rd strong OS, but the truth is carrier do not need WP7, they just want someone else to break apple-samsung duopoly, and HTC or LG or Sony could do that.
It's not about iOS-android-wp7, but it's about iphone-samsung-lg-htc-sony-zte-huawei.

All the android devices you listed are still currently using gingerbread. When you say lag tell me do you speak of transitioning between your available home screens or during app use? As the only "lag" complaints consumers, critics, tech bloggers, etc have with android gingerbread and lower is just home screen transitions, during app use such as game, browsing, or anything else however that is not a problem.
Also the main difference is using Gingerbread, the UI is not hardware accelerated, in ICS hardware acceleration for UI is enabled. The Iphone 4 and 4S are powerful devices, the 4S actually being more powerful than the GSII and certainly more powerful than the Xperia S and Sensation. The Xperia S taking even more of a performance hit as it renders at 1280x720 using a weaker GPU than the 4S. The "weaker" hardware on the WP7 devices dn't matter on the "tiles" as the "tiles" are mostly static which does not tax a GPU; however, when playing games and using apps though the devices show lag. Check out ANANDTECH's review of the Lumia 710 and notice how they experience lag when using apps.
