Better camera better resolution and much more.
Paying more bucks for water resistance and a bit better screen is just waste there is lot more things which xiaomi have over Sony Xperia 10 II and for much better price.
Equaly same phone under xiaomi brand would cost 1/3 price less. In case of Samsung or apple half the price.

G... morepeople like you used to praise samsung for keeping 12mp cameras and pretending that its the best for a phone etc..
and now starting with sony coz they went back for 12mp?
1- it's not about pixel counts.
2- it's about censor size (here we have a bigger censor)
3- if you understand the science of photo shooting you will realize that not necessary using more pixel is better, the proof -> some professional cameras has only 12mp and shoots astonishing images.

so some sort of softwares better than nothing

No it's not as great as the article makes out. To both questions, there are more than half the people who do not like it. A lot of this is price and features included (at the price). Again, halve the price, get back to the expensive old days rather than the 2x-4x expensive today. Like the Chinese companies that do flagships in in under $400 to under $500 range.

Take Xiaomi mi A3 and Xperia 10 II for example:

Pro sony. , 08 Mar 2020U have no idea its not chinese made its actually japanese made .Sony is a Japanese brand that relies on some Chinese components. Even the Korean LG uses few Chinese parts for their phones.

This is same and if even is assembled in Japan the base parts are from china factories.

Now-a-days when smartphones don't have any uniqueness in their design anymore its really nice to see such beautiful designs alternatives.
I have always hated notch/punch hole/pop up based solutions,minimalistic top & bottom bezels are great.
Also i hate overly rounded display corners & body design.it look very childish.

There is something going on with the pricing. Apparently some EU press releases have removed any information about the price and Chinese pricing is expected to be around $1000. Who knows what's going on but we sure will find out within a month and a half.

This year even Chinese phones (with their Ad & bloatware full UIs,Cheaper components & almost indistinguishable designs) are priced in $1000 range,then Sony phones are clearly justified for this price.

It depends on camera quality and if fingerprint scanner work. Xperia 1 finger print scanner was unreliable failure.
