I'm wondering if anyone would be able to install the HMS app store? Or is it a Huawei/Honor limited feature?
I assume anyone will be able to use it otherwise it would be hard to compete with google. In that case please make HMS easier to install on any phone than gapps. It's almost impossible to add google apps to a device that doesn't come with it.

huawei can't compete with Google services. AppGallery is a joke even in compare with some stores like Aptoide , apkmirror , Samsung or others

Waste of time for dev. Theres no money in huawei app gallery only few user that 10-15%more revenue is useless at all lol

If Epic pools it of with lower rates than their's need for a third party app store which would be better & preferable based on open source code & without adds. Huaweis attempt isn't a good one.

IpsDisplay, 07 Mar 2020If someone compares Microsoft to Huawei one more time I swe... moreYeah, but a lot of us folks dont care about China and their 1 billion market. And it's not that we hate the Chinese people (Taiwan and Hong Kong are cool actually), but rather we stand against the CCP.
It is true that Huawei's position is a lot different from the one Microsoft had, but arent they doing this store thing in order to keep their position globally? There isnt any Play Store in China and they probably already have all important chinese apps on their store.
Giving 100% revenue might motivate some developers to publish their apps, but in the long run, are Huawei's devices that big of a market to make it worth it? After all, this is not iOS that we are talking about.
And just comparing what public you might get in Play Store vs the public you might get in AppGallery might put off some developers. Even Galaxy Store with its marketing seller devices hasnt managed to get a hold of some developers.
Either way, we shall wait and see what happens, but as of know, this looks like a desperate move, meaning that creating their own ecosystem isnt going as smoothly as they would have liked to.
