A very expensive phone, it fell from the sofa to the rug and the back has a line cracked
The corner also.
It was in a case.
Because it was a mother's day gift I feel terrible and don't know how to have it fix .
They are cheaply made.

Your money...but I sure wouldn't spend THAT amount of money on ANY phone. It's a "novelty" device to show off to friends. Practical? Not one bit!

"The repair came out to $109.99 before sales tax, which seems reasonable." - this will get you a nice phone when renewing your contract for another 2 years. A phone is a daily tool these days, just like your keys or wallet. So no $1300 gadget for me.

Omg for u in Gsmarena, as a news/blog site, it is worthy because it has something to report.
But for CASUAL user, no worth at all.
$1499 and another $110 plus 2 hours drive in total and another hours of waiting and time to frustrate about.
And it's in the US. Imagine something happened in small country.

That is why before no company would dare to make a phone with a camera bump, knowing how exposed they are...but now it means more money to get from fixing the broken glass !

And this is why "Right To Repair" is important. You should have access to parts and be able to fix your own stuff instead of going through a subpar repair shop partner of Samsung.
If it was a warranty case, I still wouldn't bother claiming it. The only positive customer and warranty support I have experienced was with Kingston...

Why are smartphones so fragile these days? I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro at knee high and the zoom camera failed afterwards. It is now on repair to Vienna, 4 hours train ride from where I live. It is now 2 weeks since then. And yes, i have a thick case always on 24/7 for this circumstance and was not enough. Terrible experience.

This is a story of why you should immediately throw the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip into... the garbage bin as soon as you recieve it
