AnTuTu benchmarks apps are no longer available on Google Play Store

The purge is after Google took down all Cheetah Mobile apps, AnTuTu claims no connection with the company.

    Thats great. Now ban DxOMark this is also a fake benchmark of Camera system and again fill with paid reviews.

      Personally I think that benchmarks have become meaningless for flagship devices as they all perform to within a reasonable margin of each other, no one flagship is going to appreciably outperform another in any task to a large enough degree that the benchmark becomes an important selling point.

      Where they are still useful is for helping find a mid range or entry level phone for those who don't have a large budget but still need or want to run some intensive tasks, app or games. Basically a Bang for the Buck score.

      On the topic of Cheetah Mobile, I used to love a gallery app called QuickPic back in the day, but at some point it was bought by Cheetah Mobile and over time got worse. When I got a new phone I went to download it and couldn't find it on the Play Store. That was when I found out about the Cheetah Mobile issue and Googles deletion of their apps. Silver lining though, I found Simple Gallery by Simple Mobile Tools which turned out to be far better than QuickPic.

Just as long as app like Whatsapp, Telegram, Instagram, and some local shopping apps could still operate on its OS as my daily work depends on those apps.

                Djnady99, 10 Mar 2020google itself earm money on ads, so they won't do that ever... moreWell, i don't really mind with ads as long as they are not intrusive, just like how Google kicked Cheetah Mobile out of Playstore for breaking the rules in ads usage and placement (aside for their sneaky private data stealing, but we all know Google do that too so ..)

                  Thanks god, probably worst benchmark app available. Making long numbers to appear on your screen not much explanations what it represents, the more the better right? Use real benchmarkings apps like geekbench or 3dmark and gfxbench, not this crap
