P40's camera is amazing. Auto focus is always on point and Leica lens are very sharp, even in the corners. You can zoom remarkably close too. Image stabilization works better than on Samsung Note S 20.

this will be better than samsung's 108mp camera in s20 ultra and mi note 10 pro, which has problems in soft edges, bad focus, slow processing, etc.
i don't see the need to cramp a lot of tiny pixels. 50mp will be ok if the sensor size is big enough.

I dont care of lack of google play and google services.
Huawei mobile services and App Store are comming sooner or later. I can wait. And have best tech meanwhile while waiting the software update!

What amazes me is that some people do not realize that there are almost 3bil people who do not care about GMS! Recent (past 20-40 years back) Western school system failure, maybe? It's not all about "you" (as singular). Other DO exist!

AnonD-914443, 11 Mar 2020A dslr is much thicker but people don’t complain about dslr. The point of the whole thing is because this is a SMARTPHONE, not a COMPACT CAMERA. There are limitation such as ergonomics of usage, pocketable, battery capacity and so on.
I dont mind the camera bump with thin body, its a large battery anyway. If they add thickness to the whole body to flush with the big camera sensor, u'll loose the ergonomic palm-usage on a big phone. If resize the whole body of the phone to be smaller, u'll loose the big battery capacity.

I really like to buy this device or the mate 30 pro but some idiot in the Netherlands , O Sorry Huawei decided only to sell it in Amsterdam in one shop? How dumb is that and you can not order it online so I decided to buy xiaomi note 10 pro but maybe still gone buy p40 pro if the price is right .

This means more materials used, more weight and higher price.
Also, with thicker phone, people will question why not even more battery like 6000-7000.
Companies do not want that.
The external circle on Lumix CM1 must be like 5cm diagonal.
More than the hole circle you see on back of mate 30 pro to house 3 cams and tof.
