Most of these top executives are smartphone noobs along with being technically challenged.
A simple phising link could get them hacked.
IOS will always be a handicapped OS. Hence, the preffered choice for ppl is Android.

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2020Haha do you really think CEO, CTO, CFO, C-level people in b... moreMy word you'll just spew out any old rubbish, won't you?

Of fricken course top level executives care about security/reliability/integration on their mobile phones, dude. You have zero idea of what you're talking about. CEO/CFO/COOs etc are responsible to their shareholders. They have vital, confidential and private information on their devices - security is categorically NOT optional.

How would I know? For starters, I have a brain - and also, I work in the corporate office for one of Australia's largest retailers, in their I.T. dept and, funnily enough, our security policies don't allow execs to use Android. They *must* use iPhone, not that any complain about that cos their needs are security, security, security.

What do you think they value more: company and personal info security, no integrated adware services, very low risk of online threats, or showing off with a mere phone?

Those people have other means of showing off if they want to - through more refined things not through their mobiles.

None of that us true. Iphone exceeds in heavy duty tasks, video editing, security, ease of use, optimisations. Open a large spreadsheet on android and edit it, it will either hang or take forever whereas iphone excels. Android has its advantages and so does ios

The experience of other ppl who have used both OS has been the same too.

All those high profile people don't use iPhone for security or reliability but for status purposes just like someone buying a Mercedes. Some other luxury sedan might be better but the Merc brand name is synonymous with status. Most of these guys don't even know the internals nor do they bother using the phone beyond basic tasks like texting, calling, occasional web browsing, etc.

Most tech literates prefer Android for it's tinkering abilities which are simply handicapped on iOS. Even for heavy duty tasks, reliability, security, ease of use, integration, optimizations, Android is better than iOS. Android meets the requirements of both casual as well as tech nerds. As I said previously, iOS is an alternative to Android, not the preferred OS of choice.

Anonymous, 13 Mar 2020 Androids are beating iPhone in every department. Even b... moreThat's your opinion and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just how you see things based on your personal experience and limited use of these devices.

However, Windows is just ok for the general consumer. It works most of the time and is (cheap) easy to get access to. But there's a reason why all professionals who need a stable system with 99.9% uptime will use Macs. Also the reason why most servers run on Linux. It's because Windows is less reliable and is just good enough, but nowhere near 99.9%.

There's also a reason why high profile figures all use iPhones or no phones at all. Big company CEO, CTO, CFO, etc. almost all use iPhones and Macs and they are not even allowed to choose Android/Windows. (for security and reliability reasons)

When you say Android devices are as good or better than iPhones, you clearly base this on low-level actions and interactions with those devices (texting, social media, games) and you are correct in your assumptions. Almost all devices nowadays can do those things with ease. But you are taking security, optimisation, reliability, integration, and device innate protection out of the equation as if those don't matter. True, they might not matter to you, but they matter to those who are tech-literate and know how things need to work.

Androids are beating iPhone in every department.
Even budget 200 dollar devices have faster charging than 1000 dollar iPhone.
                    So it's no Ferrari.

The reason why iPhone gets so much criticism is coz they make devices of reasonable quality (nothing special) but charge a premium for it. By no means, they are better than other flagships that cost less.

Windows is universally accepted OS of choice. 90 plus percent use it simply coz it's more functional and feature packed. Not because Mac is expensive. Apple lost the PC war to Microsoft and have lost the smartphone war to Android.
I'd rather buy a top of the line gaming laptop with Windows 10 than buy a MacBook.

Same as with cars, where the cheaper models are bought more. You wouldn't say Ferraris are worse than say Opel/Ford just because they have a smaller market share. lol

It just means some things are more affordable. If people had the money to buy Macs, 90% of them would be using MacOS. If iPhones would cost $200, everyone would be using iOS.

People just use what they can afford. Windows is in no way better than Mac. It's just more affordable and easy to crack.

Not even gonna waste time debunking your lies.

After using Android flagships, it's difficult to go back to a handicapped OS on the iPhone.
Even the fast A13 chipset is bottlenecked by poor co-hardware and iOS itself.

Remember, iOS will always be an alternative to Android, never the preffered OS of Choice.
Just like Mac OS is an alternative to Windows OS,never the preffered OS of choice for most people.

Don't care whether you find the iOS ecosystem better.

What I said is the opinion of majority of ppl who have used both Android and iOS.
Most ppl don't want a functionally challenged dumbed down OS that slows down with every update, that ships with ordinary quality hardware.

Android is the OS of choice for ppl just like Windows on PC.
IOS is a niche product that'll take 10 years to perform at the level of Android.

iPhones have generally low RAM, despite good app management techniques (compared to Android). There have been videos where iPhones force closes running apps if too many are opened and left idling. 4GB iPhones are not so futureproofed for multitaskers.

Also remember that ios is a restricted ecosystem. Customizations are somewhat lacking, some operations inconvenient (restart option, volume controls, etc.).

But yes, ios have some advantages compared to most Android OSes. Few exceptions may apply, however. It's definitely faster than Shamesung's laggy OneUI (despite being user-friendly).
