What exactly is a ‘hater’ anyway?? Other than a largely annoying term that seems to get constantly thrown around by childish smurfs who are trying to sound clever.
No I wasn’t at the convention, but I did stream it. If the less than successful demo of S-Voice was down to bad wifi then so be it, my point is that it does not represent much of a leap forward in technology, much like the rest of the feature set shown off last night.

You also mentioned something about Siri-bla-bla-bla-dual core something S-Voice was yesterday unable to do. Were you there at the convention last night to prove your statements? From what I understand is that they were unable to test S voice thoroughly because they were having crappy wifi connection during that time, and not because of the phone itself.

I have the 1st Galaxy phone, and was looking 4ward to the S3 and wanted to stay with Samsung. Don't see why I should have to pay more on my Orange contract just to have an Apple phone, however as much as I like the phone it's just too big. I will wait to see the size of the iphone5 now before making my decision.

The features davo123 lists are entirely possible using existing dual-core technology, don’t forget Siri runs of a dual-core chipset, and it was able to pull of a perfect demonstration during its live unveiling (whilst still in beta form), something S-Voice was yesterday unable to do.
Maybe my expectations were simply too high, I am a big fan of the S2 after all. I’m not saying the S3 isn’t a great device (I will probably end up owning one not too long after it goes on sale) it’s just it’s not the great push forward Tech-wise that I was hoping for.
Either way cut out the ‘hater’ bit, it’s all very silly and childlike!

So what, u dnt knw what the processor is,, even its design sucks... U talk abt iphone 5 whch apple has not even announced till nw... Wht else u bunch f fools want??i guess u want i7 processor, 5" display, 8gb ram, 1tb of internal memory expanded upto unlimited storage... Tats how u ppl think... Think well b4 commenting... In my opinion this phone rocks n is best in its category compared to others... Even the design z good though not the best compared to others but i dnt bother designs coz i need performance...

Well as per rumours, I was expecting 2GB RAM and 1.5Ghz and above. But its not the case.
And 4.8 inch is too big to fit in pocket. Though we can adjust big screen, but camera is same as of its predecessor and its camera for video chatting is of less MP which is of 1.9MP.
Its good that LTE connectivity is supported and NFC is there, but its same like what Apple did.
The designing is not as expected by the people around the globe. Hope Samsung wioll come up with another version soon with good design like they did for Galaxy SII.

Benchmark-wise and the number of cool new features are more than enough to shut the competition of high-end smartphone up to date. Sorry for those people who are expecting a diamond-coated aluminum, titanium, cryptonium, rubdbglvufufugrrmium body, but maybe your expectations were just a little too high.

You forgot one of the influential factors of sale - PRICE. Materials, Design, Pentile Screen all point towards the flexibility Samsung has in altering the price of this device(depending on regions/demand).
pre-order is at 500 pounds. S2 was offered at 650 and so is Pureview.
at the end , some category of buyers would be eager to pick up a fresh device from a reputed manufacturer when it comes at less price. Once gain, its a bit early to comment on how people react to this device and its performance. it all depends on the real life performance , competition is not quiet.
Probably, Samsung has another device in making should be releasing in the last quarter, the way the released NOTE.

im a nokia fan and i know am not totally right about this...but samsung galaxy III is nt so bad,i blame samsung cause they created too much hype n people became too expectant..n nw they are not even willing to give the phone a second thought.All the dissapiontment may fade with time.

What the hell are you guys going on about. Of course it's the same as any other quad core device. are you forgetting that quad core is a brand new technology for mobile phones. but here is where it is bgetter than any other device, the features. Wireless charging!, its own version of Siri, Smart alerts and it even knows when you are looking at the phone so it can decide when to dim the screen. This is a great flagship model for Samsung and they have obviously taken great strides of innovation with this phone.

To all people who seem t... moreI agree. Overall - disappointing.
Great performance and features - absolutely!. 2100mA battery should = longer usage times (even with 4 faster cores). HD res is great. Improved UI. Some very nifty accessories. 8mp camera is fine as improved software & performance is makes the picture -though Carl Zeiss optics would have been great.
4.8 screen getting too big for a phone. Was hoping for an ultra thin bezel hence reducing size.
But pentile matrix? Heavier? Thicker? No quality materials? Old Mali GPU? No LTE? 1Gb RAM? And featureless design? Very, very poor for a flagship phone that's meant to be setting the standard...
Heavier I understand (bigger battery weighs more). But Sammy have HD Super Amoled plus on tab7.7 - why pentile here? Competition has phones 6.9mm thick. HTC, Sony, even Motorla & Huawei have better designs (not to mention Apple) and materials. So it's not as if any of this wasn't achievable.
I have a SGS 1 & 2. The S2 was well ahead of the competition, bar materials and uninspiring design. Was looking forward to a groundbreaking S3 on all fronts. It's very good, but good isn't good enough these days.
In no rush to get one now, and possibly might not. Will wait to see the competition - eg: Sony Ion, HTC, even (lord help me) Apple; or maybe wait for SGS4.

It does not use the Exynos 4212 Quad chipset, it's either the Exynos "4412" Quad chipset or the "Exynos 4 Quad" with the new naming convention from Samsung.
But the 4212 is a dual core one!
Please correct that.

To all people who seem to get so upset over the comments or opinions of others that they forget how to spell or make any sense whatsoever…......Get over it!!!!!
I was disappointed by the S3 yesterday I had genuinely been expecting something great but this barely out does the One X.
When launched the S2 blew every other device (that’s device not devise by the way) out of the water. Whilst indeed powerful the S3 doesn’t push the boat out any further. Where is the:
1. Super Amoled Plus HD screen?
2. 2Gb Ram (I see LG have just announced a phone with this)
3. Mali-T604 gpu?
With these specs the S3 could have truly been the next big thing; unfortunately I believe it’s fallen short. This is not trolling or me being a ‘pathetic hater’ (which is a childish term by the way) or anything like that, it’s just my opinion.
