design-wise, this phone is nothing compared to Sony Xperia S, Moto Razr, Nokia Lumia 900, iPhone 4S and the htc's of this world. heck even the bulky n900 beat this one in terms of design.
screen size is too large and too much to be considered a phone, let alone a portable gadget
combined with the mediocrity of the ppi, camera and gpu, and alas! a new flop is born! please welcome galaxy s3!

But it has added a lot of really nice features, one is the pop-up play which a more powerful processor would come to play. And who knows what kind of other apps or features may be added in the near future that would require powerful processors.

Galaxy Note is better than this
The only different is CPU, While GPU, Camera, Internal storage, Screen, RAM... All are the same!
Galaxy also has stylus and bigger screen!
This has wireless charging and some new techs.
Samsung you blow it i hope you get zero sale for this!

If you don't like the design, don't buy it. That's very simple. Why do you worry about the cheap models?
I like design of HTC phones, that's why I buy HTC phones, though the performance of the mobiles not the best. -- That's simple.
It's a trade off between design, performance and value for money.
Come on guys. Don't fight. It all depends on your taste.
Somebody likes performance, others design and some persons even bothers price(that's why China models are selling like hot cakes).
Let's see how the sales of S-3 will go in future. Then we can see whether the cheap phone will beat the sales of other mobiles.

Samsung should've added this phone another graphics core which will be so much beneficial in gaming instead of doubling its processor core which only adds up to its price but basically adding virtually nothing. Or they should have paid more attention to its design or adding a little bit more megapixels to the camera. Samsung put so much excess on the screen size and processor but all the other aspects have not changed compared to its predecessor. There's so much imbalance in this phone. It's so wide and long yet so thin and light. You've got a new generation processor paired with an old generation GPU.

Just because one OS with quadcore already, doesn't mean all other OSes will have to follow. That's stupid. And people who look for more cores in a phone are even more stupid. The processor should not be the main feature of the phone. A phone is not a pc. So quadcore is really so unnecessary. Hell even not all pc's are on quadcore already. I would prefer to have a phone even with single core but with a very nice design like Lumia 900 over a quadcore phone with a very ugly cheap and oversized design like this phone.

Last year Where S2 and 4s and Arc were presented the year was of 8 megapixel phones. This year is year of 12 MP, but The best maker Samsung made a little mistake with keeping 8 MP in S3, Hope it will make 12 MP in coming S3 devices.

Are u serious! Is this the phone everybody is talking about. I said a month ago Samsung is dropping the ball by waiting this long, noting really new here, like the bigger battery but other than that I'll stick to my SII as I think the 4.3 inch screen is pushing the boundaries of a mobile already. Seriously disappointed I think this is perfect opportunity for iphone 5 to take back some market share the SII has gained :'( :'(
