Meizu 17 photographed in the wild with battery indicator around the punch hole camera

16 March 2020
The selfie camera is in the top right of the screen, unlike most phones (that place it their punch holes in the top left or the center of the screen).

Meizu was the only one to hide the selfie cam in the small bezel they had previous models. Now is there no screens to get anymore that dont have the holes in them ? If meizu would only have better support on there devices they would do way better

The ONLY FRICKING exemple I EVER SAW of a hole in a display properly used and without adding too many downsides !
I still hate punch hole, but I really really hope other manufacturers will get inspiration from this, this is just amazing !
As an inventor I hate myself for never having thought about it myself !

This phone goes hard no cap!

It looks fine, but i think Meizu should've stuck to their mini-bezel design. They were the only ones doing that.

Does that stop it from being a good implementation?

As far as anyone is concerned,Meizu is the first to provide it as a feature on their phones..

Will actually make the hole look a little bigger. Not obscenely so, but is a surprise that they'd do it.

For all hate regarding support that Meizu gets, they are actually the only Chinese OEM that I wish could be more successful in the west. Their designs and ideas are never bad, in paper at least

I hope that this rings acts also as a multicolored LED notification light and not only for battery charge indication.

Gotta give props to Meizu. How come Samsung, Google and Huawei didn't think of this covert design?

                                    Good implementation. Looks good.

6.7" ... That's a huge screen. Is 17 in the model number for the centimetres on the diagonal?
