I mean I love my Amoled screens on my phones and tablets for years, but I don't mind using LCD - if it's at least as good as iPad Pro one is.

The use of a desktop class Safari on iPadOS, the file manager, the USB-C and the proper multitasking really point towards that direction.

Actually it should already be mini-led instead of oled. No burns in, with all oled benefits. And besides, if they go oled, they will need to increase the ppi. The arrangement of oled is lower then lcd. If you have seen samsung's tab S6 vs iPad pro 2018 display side by side, you will understand.

Oh and just to chime in, the iPad Pro really should have an OLED display at this point, there's no excuse for this in 2020 considering the price these are going for.

The iPad Pro is pretty nice, and Apple is definitely heading in that same ARM-centric direction , but considering iOS as a professional platform isn't quite there yet, I wonder what the point is - an iPad Pro with bumped storage, a pencil and that new keyboard+trackpad cover makes for a purchase that's in the same price territory as a Macbook Pro.
They really should drastically improve iOS first in my humble opinion.

So i believe this keyboard is compatible with 2018 version.. Unless Apple moved the smart connector location, but of course, the camera modules will be off.
But even now, iPhone 11 Pro cases fits iPhone X / XS.. the camera cutout still fits, but there is a gaping squarish hole.

Its like the Surface Pro X. You need to emulate the MacOS apps, in the end, it will lack performance due to the overhead.
Put a intel processor in iPad will make it lose its main attractions, lower battery life, and lack of apps.
Still years away, but i believe it will ultimately merge.. If not merge, then iPadOS will improved until it have each and every feature of MacOS.. then MacOS will fade away as people move to iPads.
