Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020I did not say that.
People have illusion that with high p... moreYou sing a different tune every time. You are pro-lcd until we talk about Sony flagships. Then it's not a case of lcd being superior to oled. It's a case of Sony's oled being superior to other brands' oled. If you are consistent, you will say that Sony should have used lcd in their flagships. When Sony uses curved edges in XZ3, it's a case of Sony's implementation being better than others, never about the fact that Sony should not have used curved edges in the first place.
Hail Sony!

I was fairly excited about this phone until I saw where Sony listed Imaging Edge Mobile app as a feature. That app is a disaster at every level - nonsense UI, crippled features, and can't stay working for more than a few seconds. It's actively maintained yet hasn't been usable for over a year. I'm having second thoughts about any Sony software now.
Maybe I could change my mind if they added 600MHz cellular support for North America. Even so, I'll wait to see if the bugs are worked out.

Gganso, 20 Mar 2020Where did you download it?? On play store?? I don't see it... moreI have nothing to download. I'm just talking about the pro camera version advertised with x1 II as a manual mode but with much more freedom. And I said that with the current manual mode of the X1 a lot of optimization is absent such as raw reduction ...

I hope they just did not communicate below but since the name of the bionz x treatment has remained the same normally the raw reduction should always be present, the noise reduction being the main characteristic of the bionz x

Tann Hauser, 20 Mar 2020I dont mind that at all. Keep the standard cam app for id... moreyes, but photos pro is supposed to behave like a traditional camera so I think there would be plenty of options that are not compatible such as raw noise reduction, focusing / depth of field with the tof sensor. .I had already tested with the Xperia 1 and has equivalent parameters the auto mode offers much clearer, detailed images, colors more precisely and much less noise (I think that bionz x image processing is disabled in manual and I'm afraid this is also the case in pro photos)

Flgshp2020, 20 Mar 2020Ridiculous that color calibration tool is inbuilt and you c... moreSony has this option since Z3. Samsung applied only with s8 when people returned the phone because of the red screen scandal.
Xperia comes with Red, Green and Blue set 0 by default, while Samsung has 255 for all.
No matter how you try to tune, your Samsung will still show yellowish whites and orange reds. None of the modes will fix this.
Many videos prove this. People play with different screen profiles, still same warm tones.
Samsung does it because they know people like punchy and warm.

Flgshp2020, 20 Mar 2020Ridiculous that color calibration tool is inbuilt and you c... moreDo you own a Samsung device ? Because I do and I can tell you that YOU CANNOT get rid of the yellow tint. I installed many apps trying to get proper white colors on my Note10+. I replace my device thinking it was a problem with the display however, it's all over the internet. The latest Samsung panels do not produce correct white color.
Compare any S10/S11 you name it to the iPhone or Xperia and you will understand what I'm talking about. In iOS 13 you can turn off true color but in Samsung you can only play with the RGB or color adjustment setting but they won't help you get rid of the tint.
Samsung knows it, every knows it...End of story.

More crop , more stabilized footage. EIS always do crop.
You wont get super steady from the 26mm camera.
I do not know if sony fixed the poor EIS that has been used lately.
But phone like S9, s10, u12+ for example have 4K60 as shaky as earthquake.

Anonymous, 20 Mar 2020And so? Sony is always the best? Sony always does the right... moreI did not say that.
People have illusion that with high pixel density, you can easily apply same brightness of a full hd screen. That is not how it works.
People complain Sony locks the 120Hz mode. But forgets a 4K screen requires much more power to run it than QHD or Full HD.
People complain a 4K does not reach 900 nits, without knowing it is harder to do. Also the fact high brightness damage oled faster.

B... moreRidiculous that color calibration tool is inbuilt and you can adjust screen to output punchy vibrant colors (default setting) or more natural tones. Yet you don't want to do that.
Almost all devices have this tool on them.
Sony brand boy doesn't want to tweak settings and just whine and complain all the time about simple things.
