Sony Xperia 1 II to get night mode, eye AF in ultrawide camera in first update

I will be buying this phone for a few reasons
1. Sony are the only mobile brand that's lets you view the content you've recorded in 4k on a 4k OLED screen, Samsung and apple haven't even done this yet.
2 Sony's image sensors are used by other companies, apple Samsung and Motorola and now with their collaboration with the Sony Alpha team and Zeiss you know they've saved the best for themselves.
3. 256gb of storage as standard, yet apple charge more and their standard is 64gb, cannot believe people pay that much for such a low storage.

If it was Sony would not issue that support page for people having issues.

FPS in Xperia 1/5 is thin. In order to FPS work properly you need to press your finger exactly the same way like you registered it. Mine works 99% of the time.

Hate it as much as you want but almost every key pillars are checked with this one.

And even if I didn't those point are still valid. You mean like what? Somebody does not like Sony so they do no own the device? They never used it?
And here me thinking that kind of mind set you only get from iphone users.
BTW I even had to register my finger five times (found that on Sony support for Xperia 1 and 5) to be able to unlock my phone via fingerprint sensor ... and even that does not work 100%, not even with latest update.

AnonD-921183, 20 Mar 2020This mobile is going to be beastonly if it launches soon. normally nokia and sony are so behind bcoz at the time of announcement the specs looks good but during its launch it gets outdated and new version of current version is already available with other brands. the gap between announcement and launch is too long.

I have the latter and never had any issues except for some small bugs that there fixed soon.
It's UW camera was considered on the best in terms of sharpness and produces identical colors like the main sensor. Which can't be said about competitors.

Ellio74, 20 Mar 2020After that, I wonder what will really be missing on this phone. Updates, GCam port, better mics (they should be better-rumor), good fingerprint sensor, VR support, desktop mode, QuickCharge 4.0+, better DAC and amplifier for headphone output, 4K on Youtube etc.

I am qiute curious how good that ultra wide will be. Most of the manufacturers are butchering ultrawide ... like HARD - Samsung, Apple and many other are using supbar lenses and sensors for ultrawide.
Sony on the other hand is finaly using Exmor not just for wide but even for ultrawide ... results could be really interesting, especialy for Sony phone and especial when I. gen was really not that good.
+ I really hope Sony will step up their betatesting and won't release another annoying brick like they did with Xperia 1 and 5. That crashing and ton of bugs were really something I would not like to experience ever again.
