It is about the resolution, which was not unlocked through software to use 4K, only 1080p (the Note's 16MP is more than enough for 4K, it has 4MP more than the Lite). The processing power is not an excuse either, as they use the same chipset, with the Note having up to double the Lite's RAM. So, yes, they ARE able to port it through software.

So - I don't think that it is possible to port it with update. Never used that function though.

Anonymous, 25 Mar 2020Already there on the S10 Lite. That's what I'm saying. Half the price of the Note10+ and launched with this.

Is there any info whether the features will be the same for both chip variants

I'm from Denmark and you can only get the Exynos versions here. If I import one from US I will have to pay a large amount in toll which I don't want because already in Denmark we have 25% VAT increase in price making the phones even more expensive. I always buy them outright because I don't want to commit to a 2 year carrier contract..

[deleted post]Do you realize camera quality is subjective?

I doubt that the Note8 cameras can compete in quality with S20 series. You probably didn't even waited for the camera update. But I must agree on performance. Exynos 990 (and I assume that's the version you bought) is a disaster in terms of sustained performance, thermal management and battery efficiency. That's why I always buy the Snapdragon version (I have a Note9 with SD845, and I couldn't be happier with its performance, signal reception, network compatibility and battery efficiency).

Well this adds a little value back to my S10. Glad they're doing it. Next time if they can use the Snapdragon chipset worldwide it will be even better

It's already there with an update on the S10 Lite.
