ishinlee, 24 May 2012indonesia here and i've updated via kies my note is faster... moreyup. Indonesia just update via OTA. It does drains battery and consumes more RAM. I use battery saving app like juice defender. It helps a lot.
Well, above those issues, it is a worth waiting upgrade!

                                    Exactly same problem.

Updated my Galaxy note to ICS yesterday (Samsung official update through Kies) and my agony started. I generally used to have 35-40% at the end of the day while going to bed.

Now my battery drains out to 10-15% in 8-9 hrs...
                                    This sucks!! Sammy please help.

I also had similar issues with battery drain after updating to ICS. was very upset. Yesterday i factory reset my GN, and set power savings on, disabled wifi and sync, disabled some applications, from developer settings, set max number of activity running to 3, and display mode to movie. Yesterday Night i charged the device to 45% and after 11 hrs 35 min it came to 38% which i think is reasonable battery usage. I think while, upgrading from GB to ICS, some apps settings might be causing this issue. Also i uninstalled facebook and skype which may be having some service running in the background and keeping the device awake. whoever having problem with battery once pls try it out and post the status. (Don't forget to backup your SMS,Call log and contacts before factory reset). good luck

For the ones who have ram problems, you could install an app called Norton utilities from the play store that has a very useful widget that you can easily free a lot of your ram by simply pressing a button on the widget, it frees about 200 Mb.
