Jake420, 07 Apr 2020that problem died in the 10 series you can zoom all the way... moreNope. I can still spot it. Maybe its less on 108mp res (good details, worse on other aspect), but i can definitely sees it on 12mp pixel-binned res, which the option that will used.

Color cast on shadows, oversaturate, inaccurate AWB, oversharpening, harsh on NR. These are not supposed to be on a big sensor. Not to mention the still bad AF in S20 Ultra even after updates. -

Like i said, in my type of photography, Samsung image processing are not in the list. Its got great DR & video recording though.

Samsung take on details looks the least for me (oil painting, plasticky looks). And thats the basic thing in my type of photography. Rejected.

Looks like he's no different than Danny Winget lol.

To be honest, all 3 brands got their own pros & cons when it comes to the camera system. Its just depends on you on what features/style u needed the most.

Jake420, 03 Apr 2020A lot of argument here I think you guys should watch boored... moreI watched his comparison and it was a joke. He literally shot photos on P40 Pro with Leica filter turned on during the day, which is illustrated by strong saturation and vignetting effect, and didn't specify whether he used auto or night mode in low light at all. No selfie was taken without portrait mode (but he turned it off only on P40 Pro in the window shot for some unknown reason), no videos at 4K30/FHD or on UWA/telephoto lenses, and he clearly messed up something during the nighttime zoom shot as there's no way that the exposure between 5x and 10x shot could be different on any smartphone. So thanks for the suggestion, but that was one of the most inconsistent and flawed camera comparison I've ever seen in many years.

Nick Tagataka, 03 Apr 2020In still photos: P40 Pro - 23mm => 27mm through croppin... moreYou guys are seriously confused by Danny's terrible testing method! He consistently used the ultra wide angle camera to record video on P40 Pro and never swirtched to the main lens. He was being unfair to Huawei in focusing test because only the main camera has Octa-PDAF whereas other two cameras only have normal PDAF. Watch videos made by other reviewers and you will see P40 Pro's video is almost as wide as those from Apple and Samsung.

I don't understand why are you backing him up without giving fake logic !
Even with your new logic it doesn't prove anything.
S20 ultra and iPhone both had the same distance.
So, Overall that doesn't make sense.

Now about the editing part. When he talked about The S20 ultra he directly mentioned about software update.
Then why did he have to make it so complicated by saying "tuning and added sharpness" for P40 pro instead of saying about software updating directly ?
You keep supporting him as you do for Huawei.
I'm not buying it. I heard what he said. That's enough for me.

Or even GSMarena video P40 camera review itself?

Each reviewer got different parts of perspectives. I observe the one that has a lot of photography/videography knowledge in a camera world input. Booredatwork not one of them in my book. He's just an example reviewer as an average consumer would react.

                              In video:
P40 Pro - 23mm => 27mm due to EIS cropping (I don't know the exact figure, I'm just guessing here)
S20 Ultra - 26mm => Narrower FoV than 27mm due to EIS (hence narrower than P40 Pro, but again, I don't know the actual figure)

Notice how he used the word "tuning" instead of "editing", which implies that he's referring to the software updates that will "tune" the camera software rather than users manually colour-correcting the video (I mean if you think about it for a bit, you can tell how impractical it is to do the video editing for average consumers). It's only natural he said this because among those 3 phones P40 Pro was the only phone running on a primitive firmware that hadn't been updated since he started using it.

While he was doing AF test He kept the object at a reasonable distant for P40 pro where for the other two(specially the bigger sensor S20 ultra) the subject was at closer distance which is tougher than the P40 pro's distance.
Why would he do that ?
