In smart TV sector, LCD demand is still high because, OLED TVs are way too expensive.Countries with local currencies USD and Euro can afford OLED TVs but, rest of the world cannot give those prices due to low currency rates. No point in Samsung's decision unless they drop to LCD TV prices swiftly.

the phone screen, tab screen, large size TV can be made of OLED panel. I thought there should be the OLED PC Monitors available too.

The black color on OLED screen are impressive. Phones users of the current generation had all agreed OLED screen produces better colors. Apple had given the demonstration in its top and general line of IPhone models.

the spelling of the QLED was made to look very similar to that of OLED. but the QLED is never the true OLED. QLED is still of the LCD type, that relies on a backlight source.

When you have 500 dimming regions (current Samsung flagship) and a small "Star" in a black background. The region behind the star is much bigger than the star. So they have to keep the brightness all the way down to avoid a huge blooming.

Black crushing is no longer an issue with OLEDs. Google it for the 2019 LG oleds such as the C9.

The real kicker is that LCD is not flexible nor rollable yet OLED is and this example shows the actual winner.

OLED MASTER RACE, 31 Mar 2020OLED is superior and just stop arguingThere's a reason OLED panels aren't used a lot in laptops. Even gaming laptops with 240Hz refresh rate and above still uses 1080p LCD screens, as well as graphics design laptops. Just admit it, none is superior to each other.

To those saying OLED are always superior, it's not true.

LCD screen has no screen burn-in and generates less heat (not energy). It's also better for those with sensitive eyes as it has higher or no PWM flicker.

There are good LCD screens such as the ones in Apple's Macbooks.

But OLED panels can be brighter and has better viewing angles. They're also more efficient as well, despite generating more heat.

Most laptops screen are not OLED displays. They are more suitable for phones.

The answer to both LCD and OLED panels is it depends. A high-resolution or well-calibrated LCD panel can beat an OLED panel.
