Well this sounds interesting but i still thins LCDS creens are better in some aspects.
Especialy in the cell phone where they leaves no burns maps and dead pixels.

LCD, 31 Mar 2020QLED is also LCD with quantum dot backlight (QLED) .This is Quantom dot color conversion,
which is allowing only blue light to shine through
and then converting that blue light into other lights the display needs
and ensuring all the light goes out the display..
this is serious oversimplification

Uniformity issues, blooming, in practice it's dimmer than OLED in most cases since they backlighting is reduced to avoid blooming. You get loss of detail in LCD's. In the most expensive QLED showing a black sky with stars (see Star wars) most stars are not there.
Viewing angles. Size of TV's.
The only issue with OLED's is the burn-in risk. Brightness is limited to avoid burn in.

If QLED's pricing will replace or maybe even cheaper than a flagship LCD's, then sure thing that's good but if it will be double or triple the price; then i dunno.... Heck some other manufacturer might take over.

I mean LG, BOE, and Sharp's IGZO panels were better for LCD anyway...

And Samsung is really gonna go the BLUE OLED route ... Are they mad???
Oled TVs have the worst peak brightness and sustainable brightness they can bearly do 1000 nits
Why invest in mature tech like oled (at a dead end)
When LCD has : dual cell, mini led, micro led (for backlight) AND blue LCD with quantum dots..
All while LCD can get 2500 nits and beyond easily
