LG really messed them ... moreWhat mess,after mate 20pro P30pro Mate 30pro and p40pro all had LG displays.Apperently apple was so impressed by 4gen Lg display from curved mate 30pro that they preorder it for future iphone 12 pro.Production already started in new Lg factory in Guangzhou.Iphone 12 pro will have same E6 toc p-oled display from P40pro.Remember in Tv world Lg is king.Just one Lg roled is more advanced and worth more than whole samsung 2020 tv line up.Samsung sells cheap 600 dollars lcds while Lg literally owns premium market.Just pure profit margin on signature 40000 dolllars oled is just insane.

At last a decent display.
I don't like greenish BOE on my mate 20 pro,
Compared to my old S8 and now my girlfriend's S9+
It's a disappointment.
My first and last phone with BOE display.

Finally they learned to use quality. LG really messed them up with the Mate 20 Pro and the green tint. I went through 3 phones with the same problem until I went for a Note 9 instead.

If they opt for BOE panels, the picture quality is average, though flawless.
If they opt for LG panels, the picture quality will be better, but some problems will occur.
If they opt for Samsung panels, the picture quality and panel quality will be great, but makes the phone significantly more expensive.
I guess the best deal is to wait for JDI OLED panels to meet production capacity for demands, as they provide the highest quality IPS LCD displays for both smartphones and TVs, and pretty sure they can do the same for OLEDs.

It's not because they can't.
Again saying.
Same thing doing on smaller scale is much more complex. Making mobile size OLED display is more complex than making OLED TV.
