Apple's upcoming entry-level phone to be called iPhone SE, come with up to 256GB storage

The new iPhone SE is expected to launch on April 15.

Although everytime they are mentioning in price for base model is $399 (it at all it is true), this is US price. For rest of the world, after currency conversion rate, import, custom duties and tariffs, the price will for base model be around $600-$700. After COVID-19 global slowdown, will people really pay that for these specifications?

                  If it confirms Apple will blow out Android competition this year with their 5G gimmick, 90Hz, 120Hz ruining battery tech and monstrous phones which can't be used by one hand.

                      as usual, apple recycle iphone 7 and 8 bodies and sell the low price to boost the sales as it is 11 is asking too much and little people is buying

People who want these new weird ratios will be disappointed by the old-school 16:9 ratio, while professionals like me would love to go back to 16:9 because it is the ideal resolution. Our TVs are 16:9. Our PC Monitors are 16:9. Most of the media we watch is 16:9. Why should our phones be any different. It's absurd.

If I have to decide between 20:9 phone that's over 160mm tall (most phones these days) and 16:9 phone that's under 140mm tall, I'm always going to go for the latter.

                                Android manufacturers haven't been able to provide the market a SINGLE decent compact device in past couple of years. Chinese always rip off everything but they couldn't figure out how to make the phones smaller. I'm f*cking done with Android phones, I guess this will be my first Apple device ever.

And who would be "smart" enough to go from an iPhone 6/6s to this SE?! It's the same stuff, improvement would be processor => it's a no deal if you have brains.

                                      YES! Good riddance, stupid "iPhone 9" moniker. I knew Apple wouldn't go for that stupid name.

                                      That being said, I'm pretty sure it's not going to be just "iPhone SE", since the original SE is still being sold in many places (it's currently 40th most sold device in my country) and it would cause a lot of confusion. Imo it's going to be either "SE 2" (best option imo) or "SE 2020".

                                        SE is designation for the last phone released with the previous design. So the next SE should be based on iPhone X design.
