Still incredible that some bought their crap phones. Can't imagine how they'll make them even more undesirable in the next generation. But sure that they'll find a way to accomplish it, they always do.

"You can still disable the function if you're so inclined, by the way"

Err, why would anybody in their right mind knowingly disable this function? people unlock their phones so they can "see" stuff on its screen. Not just for the heck of it.

LilPhone, 07 Apr 2020Apple's iPhones still do better Face ID, sorry about that.Well yeah. The whole point of Android is to add as many useless features as possible in a half-assed manner just to have bigger numbers and more bullet points on the advertisement.

LilPhone, 07 Apr 2020Apple's iPhones still do better Face ID, sorry about that. Most modern phones are now using a combination of fingerprint and face unlock for added security like the Huawei p40 pro.
Apple lacks that extra layer of security coz they omitted out the fingerprint sensor.

Just give me iris scanning all day long. Still haven't found any Android phone with iris scanning that can surpass Windows Hello.

Pixel 4 is so useless it's comical nothing but a bootleg poor man's wannabe iPhone at best definitely overpriced.

That wasn't that much of a risk, there are so little real life occasions where this would have been exploited, but peoples and news media constantly claiming it is a security risk may have actually make it a real security risk many peoples might have tried, otherwise probably no one would had thought about that...

Anyway now that the fricking owner of Android FINALLY have fixed their flaw on face unlock, maybe peoples will stop complaining about how 3D facial unlock is insecure while most might use the ridiculously insecure (but highly convenient) 2D facial unlock, and more phone with real 3D facial unlock sensor and algorithms could finally come !

Mainly now that from regular IR camera and dot projectors, a way to identify real living cells of the skin have been invented, that plus some other improvements, we might FINALLY have something worth it, and I hope peoples won't be stupid enough to think that if you have 3D facial recognition or secured fingerprint scanner (like the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max awesomeness) you don't need the other...
I REALLY want an awesome and highly secure phone with both advanced and secured 3D facial unlock AND a great FPS like the 3D Sonic Max or any possible equivalents or superior option !

I just hope the industry, news articles and peoples with their comments won't be stupid again...Yeah, I am a really optimistic person...
Expecting peoples to want/make nice things, I think I can say goodbye to my dream phone then...
