15 May, 2012
The Desire C packs a bigger screen and better camera compared to the Explorer. It's coming later this month.

I can't believe they've put Sense 4.0 on this and yet the Desire Z won't receive the update at ALL!!! So disappointing :(

If this 600 mhz can support ics

Then why can't the LG p500 support it

most of the things bout this phone are good, but the processor is kinda slow. only 600 mhz, it should've been atleast 1 ghz. other than that, this phone is awesome.

And there go down the drain all those claims made by the OEMs saying that some device's hardware is simply 'too old' or 'too out of date' to get ICS. Why don't they simply tell you they wanna make you buy a new handset? Shame on Sammy, HTC, LG, Moto and others who don't support older but capable models.

according to this htc explorer should also get an ics update......it is having MSM7225A chipset while explorer is having MSM7227A chipset......explorer has a better chipset, though it has been clocked to 600mhz....gsmarena has written a diff chipset model for explorer here and a diff one in their review....for reference check https://developer.qualcomm.com/sites/default/files/snapdragon-specs.pdf

Last time I checked the wildfire S was selling for around $160 (carrier locked, but easy enough to root). Even the Xperia Mini Pro (not to be confused with the x10 mini) sells for under $200 nowadays.

This is hilarious when you consider that htc were claiming that older handsets don't have the necessary hardware to accommodate ics.

1230 MAh is very low battery power ! Likely to drain within 8 hours of average use !

600MHz to run ICS? Even on a 1GHz, ICS isn't buttery smooth... how are they going to pull this off.

I share the same sentiment expressed by other comments. It beggars belief that a device with such low specs can come pre-installed with ICS yet the original desire or the Samsung galaxy S will not be getting ICS upgrade due to hardware problems.

Sounds cool but a phone running ICS and equipped with only 600 Mhz processor is confusing. Not even 800? I am curious how much RAM it will come with...

not only symbian, but android can run on a 600mhz hardware too ^_^
