Some features are found in Android 9 or 10, tell us which features you say it is practical.

    - the phone you may have now have all you needed but if you are not using your phone as a smartphone then theres nothing to worry about then.

    Im currently using a stock android 9 and I will need to download the apps and features that I need that are missing with lots of ads if you're phone is hook up with the internet.

            Multi window
            Dark mode
            Screen recording (i think its still not available on stock)
            Long screenshot
            Navigation gestures (the current one on stock Android is still crappy)
            AOD
            Ambient display
            And things like edge screen
            Pop up apps
            Like I said I never used stock one so I can't list everything

How many years ago did we hear news on how amazing Project Treble is and how it will allow manufacturers to support the devices with very little effort for many years? Well, it seems it wasn't the Holy Grail. Even with very little effort needed, obviously there's very little effort to act and bring those bl**dy updates for more than 1-2 major OS versions. "Yeah, you know what folks, you shouldn't stick to our slabs for more than 2-3 years if you wanna keep them fresh... Best practice to keep swapping them with the sock-like regularity and don't dare to mention some unnamed company's 5 major updates across product portfolio!" :P

                        Next phone i have to get is ganna be a bog standard text and call phone. No more google updates bricking the bloody things after a year. To hell with Google!

                            Go for 1+, Motorola, Nokia or any other that offers stock or close to stock experience, sissy.

                                    that's amazing! it's what already happens with a lot of linux distros.

                                    i just wish they made it a requirement to provide fast and long updates. the current android updating situation is awful. like 70% of android devices are something are still on marshmallow? i forgot. don't take this part seriously last time I checked was long ago.
                                    you can see it in android studio and it's sad.

                                        Your phone with android 11 out of the box will have to copies of android A and B and both will be exactly the same
                                        When you boot your phone you will use A
                                        When you receive and download a major OS update B will update and when you restart your phone you will automatically switch to B which will be newer OS version
                                        When you receive another update A will update and upon restarting you will switch to A with newer OS version
                                        In case of a bad rollout and your device gets bricked or something the OS will switch to older copy
