- instead of deleting the old OS installed, it will install the new update in different memory partition and so on and so forth until your phones memory is full.

ZxZ, 08 Apr 2020There are still a lot of people with phones with only 16 GB... moreThere is only one reason for you to have an Android phone with 8GB or 16GB internal storage - you are too poor to buy a new phone.
Welcome to Android reality, device fragmentation is in the blood.

AnonD-896879, 08 Apr 2020Could someone explain this to me ?I didn't understandFrom what I can understand, a phone with Android 11 must have two partitions in the internal storage. One (partition A) with stable Android 11 for daily use, another one (partition B) with a duplicate of partition A ready for Android 12 updates so that it can be installed and ready to be used when you reboot the device.
P.S I wonder what would happen with partition A once Android 12 is installed.

I hope Google also disallows manufacturers from adding software overlays to Android in the future for a more seamless/familiar software experience. Add all the extra hardware features you want, but pull GMS from manufacturers like Samsung such a tease that they release incredible hardware absolutely crippled by their terrible software decisions.

Eventually, this will reduce misleading companies using Android as a selling point but it does not have GMS.
