Google planning to work with multiple OEMs for the next Nexus

16 May, 2012
Would be working with as many as five OEMs and selling the phones unlocked directly to the customers.

Nokia was promised by Google that the door will always be open for them to use Android.Android is free anyway so Nokia could use it anyway..It would be superb a Nexus from Nokia because W7 is still unfinished and they need a boost..Why not Nokia bring out a Nexus..Altho people seem to think Nokias gone its still a HUGE player in the market..Anything but that stifled IOS is good in my books even the Psion 5 linked to a modem by infrared is better than IOS,oh i hate IOS..Do you get the feeling i hate IOS.

I wish Google would have wait for at least a full year cycle before coming up with the next version of Android. ICS hasn't matured yet and a lot of manufacturer haven't fulfilled their promises regarding decent update for their devices. This is way too much fragmentation.

WhosNext?, 16 May 2012It wont be a surprise if google outs Motorola Google Nexus ... moreMaybe this is a push from the OEMs to Google, part of the negociations to ensure they will have part on this and not be excluded for the Google+Motorola coming phones.

By the looks of it, Google is bringing this new line of Nexus Phones and Tablets unlocked and Sim free, not everyone can afford a phone this way.

I think this is a Google good move, maybe forced by its partners, this may be the beginning of ending the Android Fragmentation (IDK just my opinion).

OMG, 16 May 2012can you imagine gow awesome a Sony Xperia NExus would be ? ... moreerr what?!?! till date, the nexus phones have not skimped on anything - they contain the most recent or at least the most current tech publicly out there at the time of the phone's design - though I suspect the most recent nexus the galaxy nexus missed the quad core tegra intentionally - to give way for the s III .. bit of a cheap trick :-\ still it introduced the barometer to the cell phone market - as per my knowledge no 'common man's' phone had that little gadget in it...

Well I guess we are forgetting Asus, the next Nexus forms, may not only come as Smartphones, there have been rumors of the tablet. I can see Samsung wanting a piece of the cake, as well as HTC, hardly Motorola would be excluded, and I also recall reading rumors of Asus working on a tablet for google. Well all these are rumors, but these news are awesome no matter how they do, Google has taken the right direction on this! I love it! Android FTW!

So we'll be getting those juicy Jellybeans with different flavors from the very start. Clever move from Google, I'm in! From the devs point of view, keeping up with this pace has to be exhausting since ICS is hardly completing its entrance into the market.

well, now i feel better that i Flashed my Skyrocket with ICS before ATT released any updates.

by the time ATT will issue ICS, either i'll flash it with Jelly Beans or change my device.
