Yes chinese companies now make great phones at a much lower price than other companies outside of china can compete with. Does that make them better?
No, it makes them more appealing on a surface level but the cost of it being cheaper involves the people who make it and their quality of life, many phone companies actually need to make changes for their conditions but consumers don't care.

Most known brands have 'clean Android' from day 1.
If u mean 'Android One', then sure, only Nokia is consistent with it.
BUT, with locked bootloader? no Android experts wants to touch ANY Android-powered Nokia.

    2. FYI, MIUI does not show ANY ads if u set ur region to ANY EU countries, so STOP with those ads BS.

    3. up-to-date? I don't want that BS. All I know from Nokia was BUGGY updates (from my friends' Nokia 6 experience). All I need is security update, which ANY Xiaomi phones always get.

4.Quality build? Hey, have u EVER got urself Xiaomi phones?
Please grow up! The 'brand power' that Western people always believed are TOTAL SCAM! Most known Chinese smartphones have good to excelent build quality!
Like I said before, I got Redmi 3s prime with SIMILAR specs to 6, even down to the Aluminum backdoors.
The price? At that time I paid US$110, ONE-THIRD of the price of Nokia 6 (my friend bought it for US$320)!

You shared many chinese brands but you forgot Nokia is global brand not like your chinese brands which focus on quantity instead of quality which other countries don't even prefer.

What makes you think Nokia is the same "tier" as Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC?
What makes you think Nokia is BETTER than "the Chinese, Xiaomi, Realme"?

Samsung, for better or worse, is an old brand which wins the competition against the "once-king" Nokia. Sony Ericson too, although now it is owned by Sony completely, it also survived against the "once-king" Nokia. The same applied to LG & HTC.

This companies, which has been adopted Android since its early stage, has abundant experience when it comes to "androidphone". They keep improving, experimenting, and polishing their products, which in turn, makes people 'trust' their brand.

Xiaomi, Realme, Oneplus, Vivo, and other Chinese brands, albeit new players (mostly born after 2010), now they can be also considered as companies with lots of experience, when it comes to 'androidphone'. Revolutionary rapid charging tech, never-seen-before mammoth battery capacity, revolutionary dual sim support (yes, the first phone which support dual-sim feature was a featurephone made by CHINESE), and rapidly-improved camera quality are HARD PROOF that even Chinese-made phones can give 'good old brands' a run for their money.
Added with agressive pricing? Surefire way to get people change their mindset of "brand power" BS.

FYI, I owned Xiaomi Redmi 3S prime, and my friend, former Nokia die-hard, owned Nokia 6. Both phones have similar specs; I bought it for US$110 (at that time), while he bought 6 (3/32) for more than US$300 (320 if my memory served me right). We always compare our phone at that time, even bet whose phone will last longer.
A year later, his 6 is already got LOTS of problems; phone hot like shit, battery drain like shit, camera force close, often restart on its own, etc.

My phone? only slowed down a little, but after hard reset, it works like champ!
The battery can still last for 1.5 days (down from 2 days).
Moreover, I still use it today, flashed it with Lineage os, while my friend's 6 has been sold 2 years ago since it was CRAP.
He said he was DONE with Nokia, never bought it EVER again. Since then, hegot Xiaomi, and recently bought Redmi Note 8 pro.

Nokia is the same tier as Samsung, LG, Sony and HTC and should be priced as such.. My 2017 Nokia 6 is still with me blasting beautiful music from the powerful stereo speakers and the camera still produces great images.. My brother's Xiaomi well let's just say he went through 3 different models in the same span of time.. Nokia's price is cheaper vs 3 Xiaomi devices' price.. This Nokia 8.3 might be pricy at facevalue.. But in the long run say 3 years, the services they provide, the updates, the solid build quality will cost much lower than having to replace cheap Xiaomi multiple times.. I rest my case

lpl, 13 Apr 2020What's your point?Well, simply that the guy who tell me "who tell you to buy this phone" is forgetting that a lot of phone would be attractive if they didn't made those stupid choices making the phone not desirable, I owned a Nokia 6 and if they didn't made stupid choices with recent models, I would had probably bought one for my GF, making my critic totally valid and legitimate.

HMD's problem is always pricing. Their products would've been more competitive had they been priced right, on par among Chinese midrangers.

Disaster nothing else. 600 euros beings you flagship phones from majority of top Chinese brands, this phone is dead already unless it will cost 300 euros know one should consider it

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2020LOL who is telling you to buy this phone? You mean appart from the fact that basically ALL FRICKING new phones have the same stupid issues and making it impossible for peoples looking for something else to get what they want, and despite the fact that earlier Android Nokia Smartphones didn't had all those stupidity and had some unique factors ?
And also the fact that the weekly pool got that wrong as it isn't about the price but also the totally banal design of an over saturated market full of the same smartphones but also that the price itself isn't the issue, it is mostly the quality/features/performance level at this price that cause issue and that I was pointing it out ?
And the fact that without those stupidity I would have bought it ?

                                      Yeah, except that, no one.
Who is telling you to ask me who told me to buy this phone though ?
