GSMA,judging by the majority of the comments here, nobody's interested in your Mi 10 Pro review...they're debating about Xiaomi's business model,ads,how much money Google makes,can you install iOS on a Huawei P 40+Premium GT Turbo 4x4 and so on...
I'm the minority here,really interested in,possibly,one of the best smartphones of 2020..looking forward to it..

So far I have seen ads in Samsung's app store but other system apps were clean. I'm using an S8 right now, no ads either. They might call it something creative like "personalized services", think I saw that one but it might have been turned off by default.

      Only amateurs who don't read instructions carefully end up bricking their phone.
      The probability is the same as someone driving a car and getting into an accident coz they weren't careful while driving. Just coz you can get into an accident, doesn't mean you stop driving cars altogether.

        I was asking you, did you notice any pop up add, (from the System based, OneUI) on A50 in the past, or did you disable those from the begining on same device.

          If you routinely use custom ROMs for your Xiaomi's smartphone, you probably should never have bought it in the first place. Take the risk of bricking your phone with ROM-hopping so that you can save some money. What kind of pathetic smartphone life this is. This reflects poorly both on the device and on the user.

          It's time for Xiaomi to take some action to discourage such ROM-hopping practice. Just make any smartphones priced under $400 unrootable, like many other phone-makers have done in the past. Any buyers staying with Xiaomi will be the customers worth having.

              Do you PAY for your Xiaomi? YES, you pay asked price and STILL get used as a source of income / revenue via ads.

              I don't get how some people love anti-consumer actions. You must be an anti-consumer lobbyist or just a sheep to say it in a friendly manner.

But for a smartphone you already pay. Again, charging more gets them over 100% less revenue than ad / ad tracking and that's not consumer friendly.

They are a listed company so it's that hard to find out. Whether they make substantial amounts of ad revenue or not, I don't really care. The ads can be turned off if you don't like them.

It's a smartphone, not a monitor! You hold it with your hand, so it needs to be comfortable! Thus the pursuit for "thin bezels" just for itself is stupid!

                            2) I always use my smartphones with a case, what does it have to do with it?

                            3) I'm not stupid, I don't need any ridiculous "premium feeling" in my gadgets - because they are just gadgets, nothing more!
                            "Monotonic and outdated" - that's just ridiculous, lol.
                            And no, curved displays are absolutely bad - they have no reasons to exist, they distort image and glare on edges, they are either uncomfortable without case or don't let to use "back" and "previous app" gestures with case, they cost more than the same specs flat displays.

                                      2) It's not that "I can't choose", it's "There is almost nothing to choose from". There is only one smartphone with good camera system, good FLAT display and powerful chipset - it's iPhone 11 Pro Max. One smartphone is not a choice.

                                      3) Yeah, manufacturers want only to earn all the money in the world, not to satisfy any "customer's needs", that's why they come up with nonsense like curved display - it's just easier to push and market to people, but no one actually needs this nonsense.

They rely on their many accessories to be sold for profit. Some day they have to take a cut for profit and so will Realme. OnePlus did the same stunt years ago. It's all for brand recognition.
