LG, again the last comer. BTW Android 11 beta is out and I'm still using my G7 on Android 9. So, this was the story of their flagship and Velvet is just a mid-ranger.

Anonymous, 12 Apr 2020Abysmal? My G7 Fit gets a fairly decent amount of updates. ... moreDid you ever think that people would keep their phones longer if updates weren't a year late? Certain Android updates are actually useful, like Android 10 because you get security patches through playstore. Also, a new version with a few visual changes or new features give old phones a fresh new feel. Some people want it, some don't.

ben, 12 Apr 2020And still abysmal software updates. Abysmal? My G7 Fit gets a fairly decent amount of updates.
And what is this obsession about updates anyway? This isn't a Windows computer, it's not like you'll catch a virus.
Plus, you'll most likely change phones in a year or two anyway. All these people obsessed with updates don't keep their phones nearly long enough to actually appreciate them. They'll keep their phone for a year TOPS.

Ah yes, please LG, give this phone a dual screen accessory. If the Velvet:

                                    - is of similar phone size as the G-series (not diagonal screen size)
                                    - has 5G
                                    - has a 3.5mm headphone jack
                                    - camera set up, storage and battery at least as rumoured
                                    - has a dual screen accessory
                                    - has at least S765G
                                    - can shoot 4K60p videos

This would surely be my G6 replacement!
