lilsam624, 15 Apr 2020So Samsung only uses SD on their smartphone flagships onlyHey! I'm from the future 3-4 years after you made your comment and sad news, but Samsung's new phones, S24 and S24 Plus (they jumped to S20) only have Exynos now! Although they did make a S2x Ultra (S21 Ultra, S22Ultra ... S24 Ultra) with Snapdragon chips still which are rebranded again and now called Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

IPAD if you want to live within the Apple ecosystem they are ok I won one a couple of years back and after a month or so gave it away to my mother I found the apple world too frustrating I have a 5e - it does all I want in a tablet media, emails, etc reasonable battery life - yes it is a big phone but I can live with that - I got the X2 to give chrome OS a go - have become a Chome OS fan especially since 80 was released - I travel with it now rather than my surface as the battery life is fantastic, I can use 365 in the web or the android apps (some limitations but ok when traveling) it starts almost immediately - will probably upgrade it in a year or so - Lenovo, Samsung and ASUS seem to have some good things in the pipeline - for what I need Chrome OS works perfectly - I have no issues dialing in to our company network when I have to with it

            1) Surface Go has a poor tablet experience. It's mandatory to have a keyboard+trackpad.
            2) Pentium's performance is...alright. It's sad they still sticked in a dual-core.
            3) Display isn't even 1080p (but hey, at least it's better than those god-awful 768p screens that should've been extinct)
            4) Dem bezels.
            5) Worse battery life.

iPad's a better device depending on your needs.

Like I said, there has to be restrictions on the specs. More RAM will only make it more expensive and that will turn off a lot of people.

We should blame Google for putting little effort in making tablets more usable by software. Tablet apps are literally blown out phone apps. It's surprising you already had problems with the Tab S5e as I've never heard anyone complaining it. I just realised that Samsung isn't focusing the software on Tab S5e. I suggest you replace it with an iPad if it makes you more unsatisfied.

I'd hold on to your cash for competition in this arena. I've got a Samsung Note 8 too, and they are not good enough processors for handling texting content. I don't think a Tablet is going to solve that problem. Its just a bigger screen.

i feel like you might be better off just buying the Tab S5e instead unless there are some exclusive features in the Tab S6 Lite that you want/need... the Tab S5e should have a similar price at this point, but seems to have better hardware

People keep their tablets for a long time and iPads are nearly undefeated because of software support. I have a Galaxy Tab S5e and out of the box it froze and crashed. Software wasn't polished for 2 or 3 months after release and it still didn't receive Android 10. It's also on quarterly security updates, just overall weak support.

Three apps ? Just three apps simultaneously on an iPad ? Is that it ? And people call an iPad a device suited for professionals and creative pros. What utter ridiculous nonsense.

Microsoft Surface Go (1 and upcoming 2) can run an infinite number of software applications simultaneously, limited only by the RAM available.

The Surface Go is an iPad-killer - there's no doubting that. The Surface Go is a proper light in weight tablet for on-the-go productivity.

Acceptable for a A-series tablet, but not for a S-tablet, no matter the Lite moniker. An SD7xx chipset would be more fitting, like the 720G or 730G.
