Without any context, another fishy report. We get all sorts of fishy reports when it comes to Windows Phone, from Sony Ericsson introducing them to Samsung planning to make more WP than Android phones, and that it has 30% of HTC's sales. All naught.

I'm sure they're talking of sales rather than user base. Probably one reason the Lumias are outselling the iPhones is the fact that the Lumia 610 and 710 are way cheaper than the iPhone.

This June, 2 more cheap WP devices will come to China: the Samsung Minuet and the ZTE Orbit(?). These 2 phones will improve the sales of WP in China even more.

Finally WP is saved by Nokia.
I realized that when I was in the USA and saw the launch of HTC Titan II and Nokia Lumia 900. Logically the specifications of Titan II are higher than Lumia 900, But I can say that the sell rate of Nokia Lumia is 10000 times higher than HTC Titan II.
Simply, This is the marvelous reputation of Nokia and not WP.

Samsung, just thank God because Nokia doesn't have smartphones supported by Android. Otherwise, the current situation would be changed dramatically.

Windows Phone if you want a phone that works and have superior experience. Android if you want a toy with mediocre user experience compares to Windows Phone. Not to mention crashes and freezes on Android.

So, gsm arena treats this with a "grain of salt" but blindly accepts that ridiculous figure of 9 million pre-orders which is being thrown around by samsung??? Absolutely pathetic.

on this scenario wp vs andrioed,,i think wp is a new thing in the market and its market is already having apps near to 1lakh and its a great speed actaully keeping in mind it wasnt there 6th months ago! i further think wp market is at earlier stage, it'll gonna take time bt some day people ll like wp more then android phone !!

people came to know after 3 and half year tat android named thing was exesting in the market in this case wp is far ahead then andrioed coz in todays market they are certainly the option to consumers !! i hope wp market grows big coz m a technology freak it'll only b providing me with more options !!:)

But then, those Androids can do a lot more even if their hardware is poorer, so yeah, it's a win for Android unless you want a feature phone with good looks, where WP7 wins..

China. It's only because they buy Nokia phones, or else they suck. Windows phone is literally so boring and bad. I had a htc windows phone and I felt like I had a phone that was 20 years old

But in case of features and apps, WP7 is nowhere near Android. THose that only call, message, use browser and listen to music on their phones will be happy with WP7, power users will never be. It's a shame though that power users are few and far between..

Cha, 18 May 2012Even if they make wp7 to read my mind and do what I'm think... moreYes, same here. It seems the definition of a smartphone nowadays is that it should just have a lot of apps. And WP7 doesn't even have that. It can't multitask that well, even though Symbian does it for more than a decade. So many limitations that just mean that MS is dictating how smartly you can use your phone. For those who really use their phones as smartphones for everything, WP7 is just too limited.
However, I used WP7 for a month. UI + speed + smoothness = top notch. But the limitations got to me and I went back to Android.
And for those saying that Apollo will see WP7 beat Android, keep dreaming. You can't say anything unless it actually comes out.
